Ozempic question

I can get ozempic prescribed for my diabetes. I'm currently in a cut and the hunger gets intense, diabetes makes it worse.
I've gone from 253lbs to 240lbs but that been over 4 months. My willpower can only handle so much.
I'm concerned it'll make eating difficult. Has anyone been able to get past this by just drinking your macros in order to get the much needed protein?
Guess I could just try it. If it doesn't work I'm sure the wife wouldn't mind using it.
The shits free (VA) so its not like I'm gonna break the bank.

I'm, more or less, in the same situation as you: trying to keep the HbA1c and Homa-Ir in check.
I've been playing with Ozempic, Tirz and now I'm with Reta....
I can vouch that is really working, in fact I am sure that these substances have changed the game for real. It's not just about hunger supression...it's a lot more than that: it improves the way insulin works on the body...that is a major improvement as insulin is the most anabolic hormone in the body.

If you are concerned about too much of hunger supression... go with Reta instead of Ozempic/Semaglutide, you get to eat, no nausea and still get the antibloating effect+fat burning.

Sounds more like a discipline issue.
If discipline is the only issue...we don't need doctors....we need better teachers or better prison guardians.

It is way more complex than that:

- do you know how many people are prediabetics or diabetics without beeing diagnosed ?
- do you know how much insulin sensitivity decline with age?
- are you always certain about all your daily food quality/origin/ingredients ?...

And the list of questions could go on forewer.

GLPs are not a walk in the park. But neither is diabetes. I have found Ozempic harder to handle than Mounjaro. But there is a big shortage of the latter, at least in Canada. If you have a lot of weight to lose, you may need to switch anyway, because you build up resistance. I would suggest trying Ozempic and if it’s too hard to handle, then switch to Mounjaro. My numbers have improved dramatically since I lost 40 pounds. But understand that for some people these peptides are a lifetime plan. This is my case because I suffer from food noise. Good luck on your journey.

Sounds like you should sell me it for cheap bud. Pretty simple conclusion here

Do it. You won't want to eat an entire cow any more, you'll just want to eat the good cuts. It definitely kills the hunger voice, and the thirst voice for that matter.
I find drinking enough water is a bigger issue than eating enough calories.
I can make sure I eat enough calories just by setting reminders to eat.
Thirst is a bit more complicated, given that I can't just set reminders to drink from my water bottle every 3 minutes. Really imagine for a moment how stupid that would make me look.
So for that reason, I spend a lot of time standing at the sink with one hand on my hip, trying to force down the water during my work breaks. I may look stupid doing that also but it can't be nearly as bad.
So beware of the thirst or lack thereof. It's something to consider because not having thirst signals can obviously be a big problem especially in heat waves like the one we're having right now.

Try the ozempic, though. You'll love it almost as much as you love steroids. Almost.

That's the scary part. I only need to lose another 10lbs max for my goal. And it's not gonna be muscle! Hell I'll eat till I vomit if I have to to get food down. I'll put everything in the blender. I must eat at least 2000 cal and half that will be protein.
Sounds like just a few wks is all I'll need then wife will be happy trying it.

It'll absolutely destroy your appetite. I drink a lot of my protein now unfortunately, because it's just more convenient to get it in.

After my large-ish post workout meal I'm completely stuffed for the day, but you have to get the protein in--so drinking it had definitely made it easier. I probably get atleast 120g of protein from liquids a day. Some days more, some days less
