Great link. It is very close to the purification diet used at my Dojo to break people of the main-stream bad eating habits most people develop.

this is not easy. It involves, for most of us, giving up sugar, artificial sweetners, processed foods, and grains. I did not find eliminating dairy too difficult.

I am probably going to do some blood work to check on progress: lipids, A1c, c reactive protein, glucose, triglys.

The way I have seen it used is a purge to get ready for a fight and/or used for mental enlightenment in Martial Arts. The guys who do it are 100% dedicated, and it is still hell. The grains alone is torture, fixing all your own food is a given, but the palate changing is a slow and taste-less process as well.

Keep up posted on your blood work if you are jumping in, I have never seem the work from doing a diet like this.

I hope that doesn't include Spelnda, which I believe is simply the mirror image of sucrose. That's natural, albeit not in large quantities.

how bout stevia and why not. its said to be safe and its naturally occuring and good. it doesnt work for everything, sort of like honey. but for my cocoa it great.
