I see several people on here raving about these and was looking into getting a box. All the ones I’m seeing are made with a Hydrophilic polyethersulfone (PES) membrane though. PES is not compatible with BA or BB... what am I missing here?

None of these filters are made to filter steroids. PVDF costs the same as PES so why buy something that will ruin your gear. The BA and BB will dissolve the filter slowly and worst case it will tear and you'll have to go through the filtering process again.
This happened to me when PVDF filters weren't available and this info wasn't available and people weren't helpful at all because everyone tried to make money from homebrewing and their shitty "ug" bathtub labs.

Haven't used bottletop filters for a long time so I don't know the quality of them today. But I would stay away from PES-filtermembranes
