Path to a 500 wilks

For anyone that was curious but hasn't googled it.

A bradford press is basically a OHP where you alternate in front and behind the head. One of each is a rep. I imagine he has me do these before yukon bar bench to help open up the shoulder and get some blood in it before I stretch it to the max under load. Lol.

A dicks press is basically just a JM press rip off except I was told to use more of a bench width instead of a narrow/medium grip
 
Workout today was,

5x5 paused bench @ 325
5x8 chest supported rows @ 155
3x3 spoto press @ 305
14,13,10,9 lat pulldowns
3x10 preacher curls
100 rep tricep ladder

Today was actually a little tough. First set on bench flew but by the 5th she was just shy of an RPE 10. Gonna eat an extra piece of cheesecake tonight and sleep good. Gains are coming

5 at 325 paused os pretty damn impressive.

I just failed my 345 attempt, trying to catch up to you lol
 
Well, considering I'm all healed up and more or less back to PR territory on all three lifts, I picked out a meet for mid July. Won't be ready for 1800 yet. But figured I'm right around the corner of 1,600 and should be ready for 1,700 @ 198 (600,400,700) by then. Next meet will probably be November. Will shoot for 1,800 @ 220 then if the new coach can keep me healthy that long.

Great to hear! Just don't take too many risks, just keep your eye on the prize.

Bradford presses humbled me... I used to do a lot of them.

I tried putting 135 on the bar the first time I ever did them, program called for sets of 12 I think. Yeah, that was a mistake. I did work up to 135 eventually with doing them every week... I think it's a great move, I've never done another shoulder exercise that burned that much.

Dick's presses feel like my form is always wrong, but I don't know if they'd every really feel right since it's just an unusual movement.

It's definitely a different beast. Roughly twice as much TUT for the same reps.

I imagine you're referring to how your elbow tendons feel like they're going to snap? Ha.
