Paypal payment?

I would say no...unless you're getting something from a friend that is sending you something. If its a trusted friend and you guys are doing something tell yourself your sending him money with paypal for money he lent you or you're buying a box of apples from his orchard. Nobody but you 2 know what the $$ is for so your good.
Now, if you are on a website and u wanna use paypal and you have no idea who is behind the website then, no....a horrible idea.
PP has a "friends and family" feature if you want to send $$ to a friend. There is no charge. Just don't open up a complaint with paypal if something happens with the apples. You've seen the TV show "COPS" where the girl calls the police because she wanted to buy crack and the dealer sold her dry wall? She wants the cop to get her money back so she can find some real crack.

If you guys think LE is spending time, money, and resources chasing down people buying a gear via paypal, I'm sorry to tell you you're wrong. That type of shit would be a federal thing, and no agency of the government is doing to knock on your door for buying 500 bucks of gear. The only LE who give a shit about people buying gear fire personal use, would be your local PD, and they'll just bust if they see you buying it from your local gym bro to roll you on him. They have nothing better to do than write made up traffic violations anyway.
@dmt31 it's not about LE using PayPal to track you down, it's about minimizing risk. Chances of you getting popped because you used PayPal are probably very small. But if you get rolled up for AAS then suddenly they start investigating you and there are all these PayPal charges to various known AAS sellers, your fucked. I assure you that should you get popped or more likely the source gets popped that accepts PayPal you'll wish you didn't use it.
But hey as long as there are guys out there willing to use PayPal, etc... It minimizes my risk as there are easier more traceable targets than me [emoji6]
