PCT blues?

I am curious. I am sure it is different for evrone and also depends on the compounds ran. But it would be nice to hear others experiences.

You don’t need to specify your entire cycle but it would be nice to know if it was a short or long easter, and or if you tapered using a short Easter.

How long into your pct until you felt low?

How long did this last?

What were the biggest symptoms?

What did you do, if anything, to combat the symptoms?

Only time I have ever felt "low" was using Clomid. Back in the day (15yrs ago) the old adage was something like prepare to feel like a little fat bitch while using clomid or get ready for a good cry while using clomid. I don't use it any more. Don't recommend it either there are plenty of things that work better.

I was using Sust at the time and did not taper..Never taper, It don't help.

I think the deperesion symptoms are more caused by low t than your pct stuff.
A lot people say high doses of clomid can make it worse though

Personally I get a great deal of anxiety during pct, I know it has to do the big fluctuations in hormones. I thinking more and more of just staying on. Of course my wife just decided she wanted another child so I guess I'll have some decisions to make.

It depends on which compound you're running and how long of a cycle. Many like to run short ester as your downtime leading up to PCT is after 72hrs. You can run long ester and three weeks before end of the cycle, switch to short ester. I would say 3-4 weeks into PCT when you start to feel unbalanced and can't make decision for shiet (kinda like brain fog). Sex- hope you smash your lady good while on cycle.. going into PCT and your test level drops. The only thing you're smash is the pillow and sound barrier as you snore up a storm!

Although not a popular topic on PED boards the “low feeling” many develop while on PCT is part of the “low T” required for effective therapy IME. (The point, near hypogonadal TT levels are optimal if not required for effective PCT)

Why U and not others?

I can’t say and don’t know for sure wo LABS but:

Since the continued exposure to cyclical estrogens or ANDROGENS prevents effective PCT a majority of those running PCT do NOT fully recover HTPA functioning.

The fact is, bc many are unwilling to endure the “PCT blues” associated with the prolonged post-cycle interval, rather than CONFIRMING a return of baseline gonadotropin and TT levels, they simply begin another cycle or start “TRT”.

Sorry mate bc for all intents and purposes “PCT blues” are to be expected as a part of HTPA recovery.

Thanks very much for the responses. Espically the scientific explanation Dr Jim.

I have heard some don’t really get the PCT blues while others have real trouble. I am in week three now and should start seeing it next week. As of now I am good. I have less energy and less intensity in the gym but other than that I feel fine so far.

I did taper off with test p at the end and some say it helps over all. Test p takes what like 7 days to clear? So I should be pretty low by now.

AAS tapering is unlikely to be of much benefit bc the parenteral administration of esterified anabolics release the “suppressive” agents over
time.

Thus the net effect of pinning esterified AAS is the creation of a sort of “auto-tapering” phenomenon

It’s also interesting this practice, although popular in Arnie’s era, seems to have been based upon the belief a reduction in cortisol secretion was, in part responsible for its anabolic benefits.

And although it’s been shown AAS do inhibit cortisol mediated SKM catabolic activity, they do not significantly impact serum cortisol levels.

In fact if you think about it tapering my be counter productive as it could prolong the post-cycle, pre-PCT waiting interval.

However in folk whom have been running AAS for years and “want off”, the use of TRT as a “tapering” bridge, does have some advantages, bc the “PCT blues” can be intolerable esp when HIGH dosages are involved.

To that end bc of their relatively short, several hour half life, you might want to consider the use of oral AAS such as Anadrol or D-bol, as the pre-PCT transition anabolic agent.

That makes sense. I prefer test suspension over the orals. It has an active life of about two hours in water suspension. But that’s based on a belief that it’s less toxic than the orals.

Also taper may not be the correct term. Transitioning may be a better term. I would better describe it as extending the length of time your test levels stay elevated with shorter easters to allow the longer ones to clear.

I wonder if I am going to get low this pct. it’s week 4 since my last pin and I am getting stronger and feel normal again. I have added another half inch to my arms in three weeks. I had low energy and slept a lot for a few weeks but that’s it.

Is this normal? I expected this to suck really bad for a few weeks. Emotional swings and shit but still nothing. I feel no different. And before you say my gear was fake I had it tested and it is spot on.

Six plus weeks since my last test p shot and am still getting stronger and have lost zero size. It could be the gh and slin keeping me full but I don’t take much slin and am down from my heaviest on cycle at 205 to 182. I plan to stop the slin and back off on my gh dose after this last week of the pills.
I was expecting more depression and mood swings. But to be honest other than a lack of energy for the first 4 weeks I have felt nothing.

Clomid is excellent, and by far my favorite PCT ancillary. It is the most effective at restoring my natty test, much better than nolvadex and other ancillaires I have used. Just bc it doesn't work for you doesn't mean it wont for everyone. Give your experience but dont recommend people not to take something just bc it didn't work for you
