Pec Tendon Tear

Has anyone else experienced this? I tore my right pectoral tendon while bench pressing. Had the tendon repaired but theres a pretty major imbalance compared to my left side. Barbell pressing is completely out of the equation for me. There's not a whole of info out there on this injury/surgery and I was just wondering if anyone else has had this and how or what they did to overcome.

So what do you do now? I barely do chest now maybe some incline neutral grip dumbbell presses, dip and push ups that's about it

Tore my right pec about 50% about 4 years ago. Didn't have it repaired. It was along road back from pressing in the mid 4's to the bar. You just have to go slow. If your in to benching you just need to adjust your training. I do far more heavy tri exercises now. Close grip presses, reverse grip presses, and weighted dips. Your going to have work through the scar tissue and it's probably going to suck for awhile but you can get back. Just go slow and steady.

I ripped my pec tendon right off the bone. Had surgery to repair it. It does look very imbalanced, but oh well.

This happened almost 20 years ago so I don't know if they have better procedures now.

It didn't take long as I thought to recover. A couple months of rehab and then I got back in the gym and started very light of course out of fear. Strength did come back quickly. But since the surgery I never bench heavier than 315 anymore, even though I feel I can go heavier. I tore it repping 365.
