Penile Atrophy, Zero Libido, Ejaculatory Anhedonia, Bloodtests Back

Could everybody experiencing this shrinkage, low libido and/or ED problems please answer these questions. I am trying to build a proper theory on what's going on.

1) Can you explain your flaccid shrinkage? Does your penis literally shrink up into nothing?

It shrinks up and is very small. The best explanation feels like it just has no blood running through it. It feels cold just like my hands and feet usually do.

When is the shrinkage worse?

Mornings, afternoons and after i exercise it's very apparent.

What helps recover a normal flaccid size?

I haven't found anything that actually helps out. Hopefully more Armour will stop this.

Have you ever experienced what look's like an hour glass shaped flaccid penis?

Yes, often. I'm not sure what causes this. Sometimes if i have to pee really bad this happens.

Does anyone here get the impression there penis has lost (or gained) more elasticity's in the tissues?

Couldn't say for sue

2) Do you find sleeping helps at all to regain a short libido burst and improved erection quality?

Yes, i wake up with "soft morning wood" but soon after i get up and start get ready for the day it wears off and returns to being small and lifeless.

3) Have you noticed any actual erectile length or girth changes?

I don't think so

4) Do you find your penis, scrotum have literally no control anymore of temperature? Do you find your scrotum retracting and feeling tight allot?

Yes, I feel as if it's very tight and chilled all the time, except in the evenings.

5) Can you explain the dry skin you are experiencing (if any)? Is it worse after orgasm? Do you get the impression of your skin "shedding" for lack of a better word on your scrotum/penis?

Haven't experienced dry skin

6) Do you suffer a complete lack of sensation in your whole penis? Does this extend to your scrotum/testicle area?

I can't even remember what a normal penis felt like so I'm sure I have lost a ton of sensation. My penis just feels like it's not apart of my body.

7) Do you ever experience pain or discomfort in this area of your body? Even tingling sensation in the penis/foreskin, etc?

I haven't experienced any pain.

8) Do you have any other symptoms like dry skin around your body, weight gain, mood changes, etc? How would you assess your energy levels and such like.

For the first time ever my mood and energy have been pretty good. I' currently on preg,DHEA, 50mg Test Cyp, and HCG. No libido at all though... I just started back up on arimidex because i think my E2 has gone through the roof. I have noticed that despite eating really well and exercising/lifting that i have not lost a single pound. I am also bloated beyond belief and have not had a decent BM in 3 weeks.

9) How did you react to viagra/cialis? Did it help with the shrinkage or hinder it further?

Haven't ever taken them

10) Has anyone noticed changes to the scrotum and/or testicles?

Haven't noticed any changes'

My answers in bold.

Thanks for the reply. You never mentioned if you get (or have) ED (Mild Or Chronic)? Is your libido low?

Are you treating adrenals? I noticed you were supplimenting with DHEA and Preg, but what about cortisol? How many grans of armour are you doing at present?

How much test and hcg are you doing weekly? what does your current protocol look like?

I have completely and utterly avoided sex due to these problems, i can't get a decent erection on my own never mind with a beautiful women sitting in front of me.

Megazoid,

I have absolutely no libido. I never think about sex and most of the time have to force myself to masturbate. I get no spontaneous errections, but I can get it up and masturbate if I sit down and really concentrate haha.

I actually went on cortef right after i finished my cortisol test and got up to 20mg. I didn't feel any different. I started cortef without getting the results back from my cortisol test... so when i did i had to stop, because apparently my adrenals are fine.

Hi JoeJoeBaggins,
Thanks for your shared story so far. Please keep posting your progress about Armidex and Armour Thyroid medicine. I feel like my problem is probably related to thyroid or adrenal or high E2. If you start to get better using Armidex, please post it on the forum.
Also, what do you think led to your hypogonadism? Did you loss of sensitivity occur slowly over months, or did it occur nearly overnight. From my test results, it shows the testosterone and most of the other hormones in range are not required to have good erectile function and libido. How long have you been on Armour for, and how much has it helped any of your symptoms? Have you tested your dopamine levels (not sure what the most accurate way to do this is), and do you still feel the oxytocin rush at orgasm? Just to let you know, I am doing more bloodtesting, and I will post the new results on the forum when I get them. The doc wants to rule out possible Cushing's disease, liver disease which could interfer with Estrogen metabolism, and some type of autoimmune condition attacking my thyroid.

I can't say for sure, but i used Finasteride for about a year when DHT was NOT the cause of my hairloss... So that very well could have been it. If Fin wasn't behind it, then i would guess I have always had hypogonadism and it just really got bad in my 20's. I have always had an "apple shaped body". I have always had a little flab over my abdomen and thighs no matter how lean I've gotten. When i was on my ridiculous vegan diet i was 127 lbs and i still had love handles and flab on my stomach... that had to have been estrogen. My BF was ridiculously low.

Did you loss of sensitivity occur slowly over months, or did it occur nearly overnight?

Loss of sensitivity happened slowly, i didn not realize how bad it had gotten till a year ago. My main focus was the quality of my hair, which my hypothyroidism was DESTROYING. I had no sex drive, but that wasn't my main focus.

How long have you been on Armour for, and how much has it helped any of your symptoms?

I've been on Armour for about 3 months. I've worked slowly up to 3 grains and yeah, i would say it's helping my overall well being, but no drastic changes. My hair is slowly getting better, but I'm going to give it another 6 months before I can say for sure.

Have you tested your dopamine levels (not sure what the most accurate way to do this is), and do you still feel the oxytocin rush at orgasm?

I haven't had my dopamine levels tested. I feel very little rush at orgasm.

Just to let you know, I am doing more bloodtesting, and I will post the new results on the forum when I get them. The doc wants to rule out possible Cushing's disease, liver disease which could interfer with Estrogen metabolism, and some type of autoimmune condition attacking my thyroid.

Keep us updated!

So another update: I went to an endo that actually listened to me, and took my problems seriously. He said my symptoms could be thyroid related or tumor related. I got an MRI of my brain and pituitary, and everything came back clear. I got a test for cushings disease, 24 hour urine collection, and cortisol came back in range this time. I also got thyroid antibodies and hepatitus and thyroid ultrasound done, to rule out any thyroid problems. Everything came back ok. As crazy as it sounds, i wish something would have shown up so i'd have something to treat. By the way, we retested my estradiol and now it is within the range of 20-30. I'm totally lost, dishartened, and really don't know what to do next. I still have very little sensitivity in my penis, its shrunk, and curved, with varicose veins, and I have horrible E.D. even with max doses of any pde5 inhibitor. My endo said the only thing he could do was refer me to was a neurologist to do nerve testing on my penis. He said a pinched nerve could be causing the symptoms, or diabetes, but I don't have diabetes. The other thing is my penile sensitivity loss isn't like neuropathy i dont believe. Its not like I can't sense touch, its just there is no pleasure with the touch. Therefore I feel like a visit to the neuro will be a waste. I'm left pondering the ideas of it maybe being a chemical imbalance, specifically low dopamine. I know oxytocin is produced in the brain, and my brain is producing none of it at orgasm now. Maybe I have a serious chemical imbalance. I will try to get scripts for Mirapex or Requip and see if they have any effect on my nonexistant libido. I will also consider Mucuna Pruriens. This condition is such a nightmare, but I figure when I finally solve it, i'll be able to help of tons of guys out there. Without the internet, imagine how lost we would all be. Anyways, I wish the firm flaccid state, horrible E.D., and loss of pleasure, and libido will someday be a thing of the past. Also, does anyone have any first hand experience on penile traction devices to help E.D. and size loss? The FastSize traction device was used in a 10 person pilot study for peyronie's disease with good results.

I have a total testosterone in the 800/900+ range but can't remember the last time I got a morning erection

It is devastating to be told you are normal with these things going on. Just remember this is because of an imbalance and stretching devices will just make you feel worse

Have you considered the 24 hour urine t3 t4 test to compare to your bloodwork for thyroid? I had pooling hormones in the blood due to my adrenals

The ASI is a good gauge for adrenal function, my daytime readings were super depressed

I got an acth stim test done and this showed adrenal dysfunction because I increased by about 12% in response to the injection. A healthy adrenal gland will at least double or more

I now take 10 pellets of Isocort for cortisone and am finding my path with everything considered

Have you tried the pupil test for adrenal fatigue?

What is your basal body temperature and pulse upon awakening?

With signs of "varicocele" like veins, it's worth getting progesterone checked. Mines came back super high. High progesterone is what anabolic steriod users that use "Deca" get. The symptoms include, penile shrinkage, lack of sensation, ED, low libido, etc, etc...

The symptoms of high progesterone are almost identical to high E2.

Joebagins your probs sound like a consequence of finasteride use. I doubt you have "just become" hypogonadal at 20 years old. Its also typicall of a finasteride problem that you get no response from TRT. I would be looking for doctor who has experience with this drug.

I agree that Finasteride probably fucked me up good, but I don't think that would explain low thyroid. Do you know of any doctors that specialize in that area?

I was reading over here as i am nearing the end of my first and extended use of testosterone cyp. I am wondering if anyone can tell me what the percentage of people over here in the trt area former steroid users.??? Just wondering cause i would like to know if i am increasing my chances for future problems by using?? So what is the breakdown?? Anyone can please offer a suggested guess..

Dr Crisler, Dr Shippen and Dr Marinaco have all had experience with it though no set treatment has been set for everyone as in, its still a bit hit and miss by the sounds of it. No doctor in the world i believe can say they know what it does to you.

I would say that joejoe has probably always been a lower T guy, add in the fin and throw a nice vegan diet on top of it and BLAM, no more T

Yeah what happened. I have similar symptoms to the guy who started this thread. I would like to know whether the problem was Adrenal, thyroid, high E2 or high progesterone. And in which order did he get the problem. What was the main cause?

Pain...... i have the same problem great test results but down there it dosnt work right i find fenugreek dim make it work alot better DIM makes my penis work as well it seems balls hang when using dim and its a bit a fuller more sensation try using dim and fenugreek at the same time works pretty well for me but now im on iodral so it will be iodral and fenugreek...i have same problem almost no sensation lost size big time its almost nothing sack is asended before all this happen sack hung really low my penis always feels room temp or cold to the touch not hot like it used to back in the day...so im in your same boat good levels but yea dosnt show up down there.
Maybe we will both figure this out one day i know on fenu and dim with tmg it deffintly works alot better its like for me theres something not getting there...pm me if you want hopefully we can fix this...my problem is 10xbetter from a year ago but the flacid part i havnt figured out yet still kinda shrunken up.

Re: Dihydrotestosterone, Free, Serum

I just called Quest and got my DHT results. They don't seem to add any more insight into this condition. The results seem in range, and I from what i've read really high DHT or LOW dht isnt good for libido. It seems like the high E2 has to be what's causing this problem! Does anyone know from bloodtest experience if 48 E2 is high enough to completely kill libido and give severe ED? Maybe its different person to person, but im just wondering. Also what are the known physical conditions that cause high E2. I don't care how obscure the reference. I want to eliminate all possibilities.

Value Range
Dihydrotestosterone 53 25- 75 ng/dL
DHT free 4.81 1.00 - 6.20 pg/mL
DHT free % .83 % .62 - 1.10%

Estradiol, Free, LC/MS/MS still pending. Its frustrating for tests to take so long.

you can call quest on your own and get your results? can any one do that? I have the same issue with feeling nothing during orgasm, when I first started lexapro is changed for a few days but went right back to normal.

All the readings are pretty well within the normal range and not likely responsible for the symptoms you describe. I dont think your problem is in your adrenal, gonadal or hepatic biochemistry. Consider your social relationships and your private thoughts and feeling about yourself and others. How do you feel about those?

Hello Forum,
Thank you very much for providing the right direction to look for finding what is going wrong in my body. I had the recommended blood tests done from this post, done at Quest.
https://thinksteroids.com/community/threads/134254957

Again, here are my main symptoms.
* Zero Libido/Sex Drive
* Bad Erectile Dysfunction even when using max doses of Cialis or Levitra
* Loss of Morning / Spontaneous / Nocturnal Erections
* Penile Tissue Changes (narrowing, shrinkage, curving, numbness, wrinkled)
* Penis Feels "disconnected" from head or body

****Complete loss of pleasure during Orgasm, this is new during last month. I know oxytocin is created by the pituitary, so I'm wondering is something is damaged there? I literally have no sensation during sex/masturbation, a slight sensation at approach of orgasm, and then nothing when there used to be a massive euphoric rush and tingly sensation thoughout my body. This is worrying me the most now.

I know its a lot to look at, but I really appreciate anyone's help. I'll post the DHT and free estradiol tomorrow when I get it, but until then, please let me know what you think the most likely cause of these symptoms are. Urologists up to this point offer nothing but cialis, which barely works. Within the last month, the ejaculatory anhedonia is really scary! Is the low FSH with the high estradiol ultrasensitive enough to warrant an MRI for a brain tumor? How can I bring the Estradiol down naturally? Is my LH really "normal", and what causes FSH to be low? My old testosterone and thyroid results were done in June, so if you reference them, thats the date. Thanks again.
