Peptides in animals: My cat is 11 years old and weighs 5.3 kg. He was diagnosed today with a partial cruciate ligament tear. Has anyone here used BPC 157 or another peptide on their cat or any other animal? The vet recommended surgery. The cost is €2000. I would appreciate any recommendations or tips regarding application and dosage. I prefer to administer it as a spray or tablets.

People have used BPC and TB on their animals. Surgery is a must tho, they won't magically cure your cat, they are there to speed recovery.

It has to be injectable, oral only works in the stomach, and spray? I guess it wouldn't work.

It's not completely torn. Isn't there any way to heal it?

Hi @serkan Do you know what happened to cause your cat's injury?

Please take care of him and do what he needs to feel better and live the best he can moving forward. Making an animal wait for a necessary surgery in favor of trying home remedies may cause serious problems or lessen their quality of life in a significant way. Please trust that I understand this feeling, facing a thousands of dollars for an unexpected/major surgery.

It is unfair to make our animal friend wait for surgery while looking and hoping around for a possible home fix, searching forums for others experience or products.

Wishing peace and safety to your cat and you whatever you may choose to do.

I'm sorry you're going through that, but honestly, I don't think peptides are gonna help with a torn ligament, that's pretty serious, and 11 years is a pretty good lifespan for a cat so there are other options. I know you don't want to hear that, but I wouldn't want my furry friend suffering.

He probably jumped from a height of 2 meters. He does that often. This time it went wrong. I've decided to have him have surgery after all.

For after surgery recover bpc and tb work wonders. My pup had a torn ccl, had a tplo done and recovered 2 times faster than most according to the vet!
Dosing could be a little tricky so I'd do tons of research before you start.

Could you please give me some tips and recommendations regarding application, dosage, etc.? I'm from Germany. It's very difficult to find information here. Feel free to message me privately.

€2000 is a massive hit to the wallet so i totally get wanting to try the peptide route first. i’ve seen a few people in the biohacking groups use bpc-157 for their older dogs and cats with ligament issues and usually they aim for around 20mcg per kg of body weight... so for your little guy that would be roughly 100mcg a day.

the tricky part is you mentioned wanting to do a spray or tablets - honestly for ligaments you usually want the injectable sub-q right near the site for it to really do its thing because oral is mostly just for gut issues and might not reach the knee effectively. that said if you absolutely cant do needles there are "stable" oral versions (bpc-157 arginate) that might help a bit more than the basic stuff but for a tear specifically the vets on these forums usually say pinning is king. just make sure your being super careful with the math since he’s so small! definitely keep us posted if you try it though i’d love to hear if he starts jumping again without needing the surgery.
