PES or PTFE membrane filter

I been using PTFE membrane. At the moment, I would like to get bigger 90mm diameter membrane. Unfortunately, only PES and PVDF membrane avaliable in this size. Anyone have expierence with PVDF or PES?. Does it have enough resustance for BA/BB?

Also 0.45um for filtering of the gear is okay?

I am using cellulose membranes (MCE), they work fine and are much cheaper.

I was thinking about MCE too. MCE seems to be okay for organic solvents which BB is. Anyone else using MCE?

Nothing, that’s all I use. I’ve run BB up to 20% through them and EO up to 40% though them, zero issues.

Search for some compatibilities tables on web and you ll see that PVDF and PTFE are the best ones for brewing

Can’t go wrong here. Whatman .22 PVDF for everything.

Are you using the classic Büchner funnel setup? What filtering style are you looking for the 90mm in?
