Where can I find some of this cheap??The best Ive found is like 25$ for 60 100mg caps. However I read in Flex you should take like 800mg before training
so if I took this amount the bottle wouldnt last to long.I just bought ssome but because of the price Ill be using 200mg on training days and 100 on non training days.Anyone know where to find this stuff cheap or to buy in bulk??

1fast400 has a 120 count bottle at 100mg per tab for $29.99 plus shipping. I would be careful about taking 800mg because Flex said to though. Posphatydyl Serine lowers your cortisol and I believe that cortisol is the only hormone that we postitively cannot live without. If

Now now cortisol has its place in a healthy body. Without it old worn cells would not be broken down making room for new ones(like new androgen receptors). Also your joints would be killing you full time. Its not safe to take Phosphatidylserine for long periods of time.

Ps

I disagree....PS will only mildly affect cortisol...not enuff to cause dangerous reactions....and if your joints start to ache, then come off it. And in this day and age....stress has elevated cortisol in most all of us.

I would even say use the injectable form of PS found in Impact - it is the ultimate anti-catabolic. I got it for a good price at http://www.rxbody.com/impact.htm

Impact only has 50mg per dose. You need 800mg for it to be effective. Granted at that dose most cortisol production is shut down, not at 50mg ed. BTW RX wrote me that you might have to heat Impact in boiling water because of precipitation of ingredients. I won't be injecting this stuff.

I don't think that dose will even come close to shutting cortisol completly down. I saw a study many many years ago saying that dose will cause a 10-30% decrease in cort. That was before all these cortblock products came out and i remember wanting to take 800mg/day but it would have cost me a fortune.

here ya go 550mg caps for 33bucks

http://www.prosource.net/product.jsp?path=-1|18&id=249

if the link doesn't work go to prosourceonline.com and look for super phosphatdylserine under anti catabolics

Yes, the Prosource ones blow everything else away, and yes there is 550mg of active PS in each pill, not just a PS complex with only 100 mg or so active compound. Then just take 1.5 of them a day.

Funny thing I got a flyer in the mail from Prosource yesterday. I ordered a couple of bottles. Here's an idea. When you go into Ketosis cortisol is released. I think you see where I'm going with this.

I was going to post this when i had the chance. Maybe it was on this board we talked about this a while ago. Someone called Prosource to find out if it was really the 550 of PS and not the complex and they said it was 550mg of PS. I took this stuff i guess about 2 yrs ago and i remember getting bad cramps after a few days of using it. I normally don't get cramps like that so was it the PS? Who knows maybe cort was being suppressed too much. That company is only about 30min south of me and now that they have Stallone bumping their products, you just can't pass them up :-)

Phosphatidylserine is a complex of phospholipid nutrients and fatty acids derived from soy lecithin. Phosphatidylserine, a phospholipid component of cell membranes, is essential for the functioning of brain cells. Phosphatidylserine (PS) plays a key role in the functioning of all cells in the body, but it is most concentrated in the brain. PS is an important regulator of normal, healthy neurotransmitter action and synaptic communication.
Phosphatidylserine, along with other essential fatty acids, may also play a critical role in cognitive function, including maintaining concentration and memory. Phosphatidylserine (PS) can provide relatively quick benefits especially to mature adults who are experiencing age related mental decline. Phosphatidylserine and the other phospholipids literally “unstiffen” membranes allowing for more normal function.

I heard about this supplement and have been taking it for only 1 week and my bodyweight has gone up from 237 - 243. My pumps also have been all day. I just started back to lifting about 1 year ago, im 44 and have been using creatine for about 6 months and saw good results. Added no2, 3 months ago saw better results with the combo. But now when adding phosphatidylserine I am amazed. Somewhat Expensive but is working unless there is some unknowen reason for my weight gain. Also taking Muscle Milk by Cytosport instead of straight whey protien and a multivitamin for the last 3 months. I'll keep you posted if interested. I heard about Phosphatidylserine in an artical by some olyimpic trainer to keep cortisol levels down if you have a bad habbit of staying in the gym to long and overtraining. Im taking 800 mg on workout days split up 400 & 400 but one dose for sure befor training. also on non workout days I take 1 dose of 400mg.

Supplement Reviews

Phosphatidylserine
This phospholipid is a powerful cortisol suppressing agent and neurological boosting agent!. According to several studies by Monteleone and associates, PS supplementation can blunt cortisol release significantly secondary to stress. In fact, in another study by Fahey and Pearl, supplementation of PS reduced cortisol levels by 30% as compared to a placebo following heavy resistance training. Since cortisol has been implicated in increasing body fat and abdominal fat, lowering it may also reduce these unwanted effects! Good doses for brain function are 100 mg 1-3 times daily and for cortisol suppression 400-800 mg daily especially taken right before a workout and before bed time.

It can be taken for the rest of your life , Its in all food, just in lower ammounts in the food. Creatine can be taken for the rest of your life to if you want. They get the Phosphatidylserine
from soy most of the time.

Yeah, I got soy extract here which has phosphatidyl, but not the serine if I remember correctly. It's in a low concentration, but I can get it cheap.
