Pituitary MRI

One of the first doctors I visited tested my prolactin levels twice, with the first result being 11.9 and the second being 21, both on a scale of 8-18. From what I've read a number of 21 is nothing to worry about but nonetheless the doctor scheduled me for a pituitary MRI. 5 months later the test date is coming up, and I am wondering if I need to bother going. Better safe than sorry or unnecessary waste of time?

Better safe than sorry. Pituitary tumors are more common than people realize. They're rarely life-threatening, but they can really screw up your hormone levels.
