Plateau problems

Guys, I had a question that I'm looking to get some feedback on for a friend.

He's 33 years old, 5'7, started his cycle at 203 pounds, and is currently at 220lbs. He is on week 11 of,
700mg Test
400mg NPP
400mg Mast
.5mg Arimidexb(every 3rd day)

He had blood work done, and all levels are just normal. Obviously, there's something that's out of range but nothing to be worried about.

Here's the problem that i need advice on. So, he's been stuck at 220lbs since week 8 and has even added 20mg of injectable superdrol starting week 8. (on training days only). Also, 30 days of igf-1 lr3 at 80mcg (pre-workout only), and he's still stuck at 220lbs, like he has been since week 8, and here we are at week 11. Almost 12.

I'm not going to drag this up any longer by listing the specifics of his diet, but it's clean, and it's 4500 calories a day

Do you guys have any idea why he hit the plateau like this and couldn't break it, considering he normally doesn't have a problem putting on size?

I’m zero authority on this but he’s up 17 pounds on cycle. How much of that is actually Muscle? It’s only 3 weeks he’s hasn’t gained and weight ? Do u want him just adding fat, water, glycogen? It’s takes a solid year for the best of the best to add 10 pounds of muscle. Look at nick walkers progress.

Sounds like a recovery issue, if your are just going off the scale weight and not the mirror that u should be obviously, up the calories I mean come on man?

Energy expenditure?

He most likely needs to increase his food intake.

prioritizing nutritional intake

Prioritizing training intensity/recovery

if the drugs he’s on is being taken consistent. Then most likely it’s only the two things that i mentioned is the main question

Goddamn brother, he’s already 220lbs at 5’7, if he has decent bodyfat that is monstrous already.

Unless he has been bigger before, maybe he is near the sticking point and might need to push his dosage and food intake.

Yeah, this is what I'm thinking brother. I think it's time to push the food a little more. Also make him keeps a log so I can make sure his training style is always Progressive overload.

Thank you for the feedback gentlemen. I appreciate it.

More food! You can’t grow on drugs alone.
At 4500 calories and 205-210 up to 220 he is on more calories than he needs. More food as unilateral answer is why we have so many strong and FAT gym bros.

Guarantee you his expectations need to be tempered. It isn’t a growth issue. It is an expectation issue

Well, if he isn’t gaining mass should he be eating more? Remember there are outliers when it comes to metabolism, hence it is always advised to take advice from the internet with a grain of salt due to differences.

Fair point, I would say he is though. Up to 220. What kind of mass? At those calories probably not all lean muscle. That is the problem with all these folks asking advice and us having 2/10s the information.

I go back to expectations around hormones.

95% of people getting on them now have expectations WAY out of wack with reality because of twinks like the Tren twins. (Who look smaller than I did natty at that age btw…) So much for standards

For sure, you can only ask for general advice since there are myriads of factors. For beginners, any adjustment can lead to results but for intermediates you have to work with them personally to make progress.

Hopefully OP provides more information if he needs help from experienced guys like you and malfeasance.

Like I said it depends on, metabolism. Energy expenditure, cardio ?

What if he’s doing tons of cardio and has a labor intensive job, then what? Everything goes out the window and it comes down to individual response.
