As much as I don't like A-Rod - he should sue MLB!!

On what grounds? Anyways I see no wrong in what A-rod, Bonds, McGwire, etc... did.

Well in his original lawsuit part of it had to do with MLB obtaining documents by going outisde and around the police. I'm sure he has some ground by which to sue, as to what there is for him to gain at this point from a lawsuit I don't know.

I'm no lawyer but I'm pretty sure it is illegal to obstruct justice or interfere with an on going investigation. At least as the police are concerned. I believe the charge is obstruction of justice.

If it were a car, it would be clear.

X wants to buy said car.

Owner doesn't want to sell car.

X encourages theft of car by dangling significant amounts of money to other individuals (included a convicted felon) for delivery of said car.

Car is stolen.

Police investigate stolen car.

Police tell X not to buy car because it is stolen.

X buys it anyway.

Furthermore, X hides the purchase from police (by not telling them).

Why would MLB get away with it?
