@Eman what if I explained it's because of my dehydration issues and that all the various medications I've been on never worked and marijuana does, if instead of an outpatient rehab center, I make an appointment with a counseling center with a psych? Would that work?

Remember - in states where it's legal, with a script, people still get fired. If a business is going to the trouble to test for its use, you won't get past that with the medical defense where it's illegal from the start. The ol' "no medicinal value" will bite you. Stick to the "I'm looking into treatment". That might stick to you forever, but likely not as bad as toking with no remorse at all.

When they ask if you've had any meds, say you've been taking ibuprofen. That's one of the false positives for cannabinoids.
I survived a test at work with these methods, 12 days after heavy smoking.

IME, results take a bit longer with positive tests but usually the employer will know within seven business days.

Keep in mind, most testing facilities do call you first before the employer is notified to ask if you have any knowledge as to why you would have tested positive. It helps let them know if they need to do further testing or not from a false positive from what I remember.

Another possibility is to start going to AA meetings but that really doesn't count as treatment as far as I know. Do research. There are clinics out there I'm sure that are affordable.

Don't forget, there is always a threshold on these tests... If you're below it, you've passed! Hopefully get away with it.

Another thing that could happen is that they tell you you've passed, then they spring another test on you soon... So don't take a "pass" as Carter Blanche to get back on it. Keep it clean. Good luck.

Ibuprofen no longer produces false positives for marijuana.

Scripts don't even really matter either sadly enough... Legalization for recreational purposes or medicinal is really more like decriminalization even in states like Colorado... You can smoke legally but you can't keep your job lol!! Sounds more like decriminalization than legalization to me.

Just say that you're taking a med that will give a FALSE positive and REFUSE the test!

For example Selegiline which may be used as an antidepressant will give a false positive for amphetamine
