I accidentally got a used insulin needle (used once for HCG) stuck into the base of my thumb. The needle went all the way into the flesh. I couldn't cleanse the wound because it was so deep and narrow, plus there was no visible bloor or way of discerning where the damage was done. No pain was felt at any time.
Twenty four hours later, I have a very stiff ache in the lower quarter of my hand. I assume that this is the beginning of an infection. How might I be able to tell?
