Possible HGH Needle Infection?

I accidentally got a used insulin needle (used once for HCG) stuck into the base of my thumb. The needle went all the way into the flesh. I couldn't cleanse the wound because it was so deep and narrow, plus there was no visible bloor or way of discerning where the damage was done. No pain was felt at any time.

Twenty four hours later, I have a very stiff ache in the lower quarter of my hand. I assume that this is the beginning of an infection. How might I be able to tell?

It's also possible that you nicked a nerve which is causing the ache.

I wouldn't worry too much (unless that needle was dragged in a pile of crap and covered in old crusty food). I've had much worse than that and never received any infection. Just make sure you keep an eye on it. If it does get worse, area turns red, streaks start showing in skin, etc then go see a doc. Monitor your body temp too. Elevated temps can mean an infection.

Next time make sure you keep them needles secure!
