powder shelf life

Anyone know if test or any other powders carry an actual "shelf life."

A buddy has some stuff that's been sitting sealed for a hot minute.

My current Chinese supplier said 2 years. I thought that seemed a little short actually. I had heard it was more like five years.

Only substance thats a powder that goes bad is when powder takes on water. No other powder goes bad that I know of. so take the water out and then send in for testing. Or make and send in for testing for 80$-100$
