Preparing for a competition essay.

Hello everybody
I am a bodybuilding enthusiast and I absolutely love everything about it. From the nutrition to the training to the juice to the mass, simply just everything.
Even though I don't compete I am still a huge enthusiast.
I am from Switzerland and before I can graduate I hsve to write a huge assey that count for my final grade.
We can write the essay about whatever we want and I decided to write it about preparing for a bodybuilding competition.
I would like to picture everything that is needed in it. That means I will also be talking about steroids and peptides even though my teachers probably won't like that because they are highly influenced by the media when it comes to steroids i guess. And they will probably only think of these vegetable oil guys that you always see in the news, when they hear steroids.
But still I think it is important to also include the steroids and peptides.
I already know a lot about it but my question now is, if anybody here who already has personal experience with it woul be willing to help me out a little.
That wouldn t be to much, maybe one or two emails where you would tell me how it really feels and what it takes mentally or one email where you would tell me about the training in the final week ore something like that.
I wouldn t mention you name or anything like that, i would only mention that I know yoy from an online forum and that you are a amateur/professional bodybuilder.
If anybody were willing to help me out I would appreciate if he hit me up here.
Thanks to everybody.

If you're serious about your grades I'd pick a totally different topic besides bodybuilding and drug use. Nobody cares about this and it'll only make you look like a narcissist druggie. I've learned a long time ago that the things you talk about do have an impact on what people think. You start talking about bodybuilding and gear and in the back of the professor's mind I GUARANTEE they'll be thinking "it's only worth a C+, fuck this kid"

You'd be better off calling it "Life enhancement through fitness and nutrition" and talking about the role of protien, carbs, healthy fats, different types of exercise, target heart ranges, fat loss, injury prevention and healing, how exercise and nutrition can improve your serotonin levels and sense of well being. I'd take that approach instead, make it something that ppl will get interested in and want to try out, but I'd stay away from "bodybuilding" and "gear talk"

Honestly I thought about it too.
I actually thought a lot about it and I think you are probably right even though people in Switzerland are generally open minded. But still they might really mistake me.
So I am probably going woth something similar to what you proposed about the fitness lifestyle and so on.
But still thank you

Yeah you'll sound like one of those kids that thinks pot is a cure for everything haha.

Edit: except gear actually IS a cure for everything.

Dont think i would as i would also talk about the downsides. Mental as well as physical.
But still i get your point. Might really not be that good to talk about steroids and bodybuilding in school.
Especially as most people confuse bodybuilding with injecting vegetable oil.

Don't do it, I used to think like this and then I got older and felt stupid for doing some of the things I did in school. I felt very stupid and immature and realized I should have never been there to begin with, I wasn't mature enough for college.

If you make fitness and healthy eating Sound appealing to ppl and gain their interest it'll weight a lot on your grade. Talk abt how it can change your life and how preventative care is better than just taking pills as you get older. I'd show statistics of obesity, heart disease, diabetes, and then talk about how exercise and nutrition can improve them. This is the approach I'd take anyways, I'm sure you'll get a really good grade.

I will definitely do that and have decided to really do something pretty similar to what you proposed. And I am very grateful for you trying to help me out and trying not to make me present something stupid in school.
Besides if my englisch sounds somehow strange please don t mind, since most of the englisch i know i have learned at school and school englisch is, as we all know, known not to march the real englisch hahah
