I also got Violet tops. 1st vial i uncapped the outer cap came apart exposing the vial. Did you have any problem with that? I didn't even bother reconstituting it

Yes ,the aluminum crimp did tear down the side a bit. I always filter into a new sterile vial so it didn't matter to me. I actually thought about tearing it the rest of the way off instead of going through the rubber with a needle, but decided that would just increase the chance of dropping it.

The other issue is that samples degrade, and the more time that passes, the less likely you are to get accurate results. They won't admit this though I'm sure

I in no way correlate the metallurgic properties of aluminum, nor the stamping process by some completely unrelated manufacturer who probably made these crimps a year before the GH was produced...... with the actual quality of the GH itself.

I don't think these pretty little violet top GH bottles have some proprietary crimp that was produced just for them. Imagine how many tens of thousands of these crimps were likely produced, and used.... because they are perfectly suitable.
