So, I started pinning primo 5/17. 25mg 2x/week. There was some overlap with my last 1 and a half weeks of var which I was taking at 10mg/day. I am drawing with a 22 ga and pinning with 25 ga in the glute. The pin is absolutely nbd. Although after the first one, the very first ever pin for me, there is a bit of an adrenaline rush because "omg I just pinned steroids. I'm super badass.". But since then the pin has been nothing to get excited about. There has been zero PIP. I'll do my 4th pin today after work. I will run until the end of July.

I have noticed I am not as bloated. I don't know if the primo is counteracting the bloat from the var or if my body was getting used to the var (you can see a comparison in my media stuff). I guess that's why the initial advice is not to do 2 compounds at one time. Regardless though, the end goal is the same - which is purely aesthetic. I've also noticed a little more vascularity in my shoulders and forearms. I know primo has to build up for 5 weeks or so before you see anything so I'm not expecting any noticeable gains/changes until then.

I expect over the next week to lose some water weight left over from the var and see what that cycle has left me.

Sides: I do have a little bit of a sore throat. I've had a headache at night off and on but that could also be the pollen from absolutely everything in bloom here this time of year. Voice seems maybe a tad hoarse, but nothing that's a show stopper right now. Lady parts seem the same. In fact from the time I started var and experienced the increased senstivity that part seems to have subsided a little :( . I have been snappy this week but I'm also under a lot of stress at work right now so I'm not ready to say it's primo related. Hair: after researching and reading everyone's experience here about hair loss I'm hyper aware of any that I lose. I've got really thick hair so it's not a huge concern, but it's there. You know it's weird, when I got older (which I think happened last week) pre AAS I noticed a change in my hair. It seemed thinner to me (which is relative because my hair is so thick) and my body hair really seemed to lessen. Shave my legs less frequently, "happy trail" vestiges disappeared.....hormones are a funny thing.

I'll continue to log here, follow everyone and post annoying selfies.

Good luck Wendy. Quads look great. Shoulders, back and arms are all really solid. I would overemphasize hamstring work during the cycle. Hit them hard three times a week.

When you bring them up your physique will be phenomenal.
 
Glutes too maybe but probably that was the hamstring comment from master power. I'm

Thanks guys for your input! All very valid. I will add more glute/ham work during this cycle. In fact today was leg day. I have 2 leg days: one totally for posterior chain and the other for quads (but add in thrusts because I KNOW my weak point is my 49 year old ass..sigh. Years of running didn't help that either.). So the owner of the gym spotted my 205 squats today. Such a great guy and gym. He offered me tweaks to my form and told me I could go to 225-240 in no time. :)!!!! The tweaks he offered did work my ass more too. I felt it. Today's routine included the following.

Squat 185x6-8/10, 205x5
Front squat 115x10 3
BB lunge 115x10 3
Hip thrusts 175x10 4
Leg extension 100x10 3
Lying leg curl 70x10 3x
Calf raises who tf cares sets and reps.

Yesterday was DL day. I normally like have a day off in between but it didn't work out that way this week.

As far as overall I am feeling/looking leaner. I have to believe the primo is responsible for this. During my entire var cycle it was impossible not to have a distended belly. When I woke up this morning dry I looked less distended. And I'm seeing my obliques more and that V thing that makes your legs look screwed on.

Rippetoe has a bunch of instructional videos on Youtube that cover all the major lifts. They're well worth watching. His book, Starting Strength, is also excellent and I always recommend it to anyone wanting to learn the mechanics of lifting.

I've heard of him and actually a member of the fb group. Lol. I started on a PL route when I first started lifting because my coach (daughter) was a power lifter. Then she changed to bb so that's how she tweaked my programs. Then she said "Mom, you're so into this you need to learn about it and make your own programs." I've been doing that for 6-7 months now. Lots of trial and error.

That's exciting! Are you on a bulk or still eating at a deficit?
 
I'm going to see what's left after the bloat totally subsides (hopefully). From what I've read that takes 7-10 days. I'm tired of being hungry but I'm tired seeing extra weight too. Pretty sure I'll either eat at maintenance or deficit. :)
 
We are the same age Wendy. I didn't mean to come off as critical before. There are plenty of women 20 years or more younger than us who would pay plenty to have an ass that looked like yours.

Your physique is great. I just think a little more size and sweep in your hamstrings will make it that much better. I also think if I take a couple of inches off my waist I will look much better. Sometimes the obvious isn't that easy to achieve.

Oh no! You didn't come off as harsh! I appreciate the time you took to look and offer advice! I view my body as always a work in progress. If I was ever satisfied I would get bored! I appreciate the advice and direction. No hard feelings AT ALL! :) thank you for your input!

image.jpeg Chest day. Set PR on bench. After working on hypertrophy for so long it really has felt good these past few workouts to go heavy. PR'd at 140 2.25x. I think I could have probably hit 150 but I was pyramiding up and was getting tired toward the end. Here was today's workout.

Ab wheel 3 mins
Weighed reverse hyper 4x12
Bench 115x6, 120x10, 130x4, 135x3, 140x2, 120x 6 3x
Flat db press 50x8-10 4x
Incline db bench 35x10 3x
Weighted leg raises and activated planks supersetted with chest exercises.

It was sort of short today. I was really worried about my sick dog and wanted to make sure I made it home in time for his vet appt. he's so old every time he gets sick I'm sure he's gonna die. Worrying is like a hobby for me. Turns out he threw his back out while squirming when I was giving him his mani-pedi yesterday. Still kills me to see him hurting tho. He's on muscle relaxers and pain killers now. That's him above Dudleylifts
 
At least 150 if you were working up to a true 1 rep max. Probably closer to 160.

My dog died in my arms a week ago today at just short of 21. Suffered the last day which was tough but was a very happy girl throughout her life.
