Production Shutdown Question

When you use Gels, will that automatically shutdown the production of T by the body, no matter what the level is?

Example, you take 5 gram Androgel and you only go to say 250, just using numbers, will the P gland sense that there is not enough T in the blood and signal the Testies to make more, or will it automatically not, just because of the external T.

This is assuming your P gland and Testies are still working.

Your production will definately be impaired more than how it is normally on 5g androgel. I don't think you actually "shutdown", but I could be wrong.

I think the consensus is....it depends on the person. Some people can take a lot of exogenous test and won't be shut down. Others can take small amount and can face total shut down. I think Swale said that in most of his TRT patients there is no complete shutdown.

Yes, as Random said, it is a sliding scale, and is different for everyone.

On one packet of gel my LH and FSH levels were tested at about Zero.
