help please i cant get my bi or tris to pump i tryed heavey low reps and light weights at high reps and still no pump at the end what am i doing wrong arms lack any real size

double your carb intake, increase your water to 1 gallon, and take no longer than 45secs rest between sets, done in the 10-12 rep range.

stevezab, are you on any meds? I know adex can affect my pump, I find the best way to gorge my muscles with blood is to lower weight a little bit and do a nice 3-5 second squeeze for barbell curls. If I want an awesome pump to where I can even bend my arm in, I will do 4 warm up sets of 25 lbs I hold my elbows tight against my side and curl the weight all the way out in front of my body all the way up, dont cheat! when those are done, do 4 sets of 50 lbs again, use flawless form, 3-5 second squeeze. I never just work my bis or tris, I always incorporate with chest or back. By the time im hitting curls, ive already done lat pulls, back pulls, rack pulls, and seated cable rows, so my bis are pretty warmed up by the time I hit curls, but I still like to get those light weight warm ups in using good form. That might help. Carbs are a plus, along with good hydration.

Sounds like to low of carbs..
Or red blood cells
Or... Ummmm.. Too low of carbs :drooling:

Put some weight on the bar,
And try again :D

IF your still having problems with pump, I found a way to pretty much force blood into my arms, this morning I decided to split by back and bi workouts as I have been having troubles recently with my bi's, wanted a change up. I started by warming up 4x15 using 35lb barbell then I moved on to doing a 5x5 of 75lbs barbell curls. After that, I switched up to a 3x10 and did 45lbs (the big bar). Then I hit dumbbells and did another 3x10 using 20's. After that, I burned out on cable curls using the lightest weight (I think it was 24lbs) and I was able to squeeze out 3x20, I stood offset and with my arm almost at a 45 degree angle. The last few reps on the last few sets set my bi's on fire and I had to take small pauses between the reps. When I was done, my arms felt like if I were to squeeze them in the in the cartridge would have torn in my elbows.....SUPER PUMP!!!! I know I'm using relatively light weights, but I strive to use flawless form and really squeeze at the top of my curl, if I go heavier I cheat, so I guess what im trying to say is I'm still a puss.
Ive been doing a workout called Y3T I found on bb.com site, the premise is hitting the three types of muscle fibers one at time each week, but I don't know why you couldn't do it in the same workout? I'm giving it a try, hope this may help out in some way...
