As for Skyr - I love the stuff.
In the UK you can get 450g tubs for around £1 in the likes of ALDI & LIDL. Flavoured versions come out to around 40g of protein per tub, around 50g for natural / unflavoured.
Very versatile too. I use it as a high protein desert type dish, adding a little bit of either a Nutella type spread or PB. I also enjoy them plain, particularly the flavoured ones.
I also use them as an ingredient in home-made meal replacement shakes. If bulking, I’ll add 100-150g to 400ml skimmed milk, superfine oats, PB, flaxseed & a WPC / soy blend & any flavourings.
If cutting carbs, I’ll drop the milk from both protein & meal replacement shakes & use Skyr & water in it’s place. (I can’t stand any shakes in just water).
Edit: you can also use skyr in lieu of milk with granola, muesli etc.

Yes, and this guy is also delusional af. He completely disregarded what norse wrote and came back with some non sensical reply's, which paint a very delusional mindset. Meaning, there is a dichotomy between tank's doing and how he perceives him self.
There are more and more nut cases on these boards. Or maybe my radar is just more finely tuned in sensing them ...

If it is thicker, then it's cool, I like the consistency of yogurt like sour cream, but at the same time low-fat so that it is.

Well that's the texture of pure Skyr. Buy a small pot next time you go shopping and see what you think. Personally, I hate it.
I much prefer the Natural Greek yoghurt and there's not much difference in the macros if you stick to the natural choices instead of the luxury options with sugar, cream, and fruit purees added to them.
It also keeps quite well unrefrigerated, I can put 2 small tubs in my work bag in the morning, by 3pm they're totally fine to eat.
It's a dairy product, manufactured different from Greek. It's much less sour, and comes with a lot of flavours. Have a go at it...
