I've read some suggestions that calorie intact should be as high as 4500 per day while while using steroids to get really big. Doesn't that much food result in gaining lots of fat as well as musle? If so, what's the point? Why not eat less and put on less fat?

The idea is to bulk up the body grows best when you are in a calorie surplus combine this with steroids and you grow even faster you will gain some bodyfat but you can then diet this off to see whwt muscle you have gained.
As for 4500 cals a day all depends on the individual i diet down on this much and eat 6000 cals a day off season but i have an extreme metabolism

4,000-4,500 should be considered the minimum amount for any cycle where the intent is to gain the maximum amount of muscle.

When you're training right and on a cycle, that's what your body needs. A meal every 2-2.5 hours, 1.5-2 grams of protein/lb of bodyweight, plenty of complex carbs and some fat, especially good fat.

As far as gaining a lot of fat... No that shouldn't happen. As far as gaining a little fat... yes, that will happen. However, as Arnold said, you can't carve a pebble.

It's much better to gain the maximum amount of muscle and a little fat than restrict your muscle gains because you're afraid of gaining a few pounds of fat. Fat is easy to take off, muscle is much harder to put on.

this is my pre contest diet not off season

looks good j, simple and effective. As for off season bulk if u can catch it eat it. I get a kick out of guys in the gym that are trying to bulk up, i had a guy ask me the other day what my post workout meal would be because he always had a baked ckicked breast and some brown rice and just was not gaining alot of mass. You should have seen his face when i told him a large pizza and a chocalate milkshake, and then i wash it down with a protein shake in whole milk with some natural peanut butter.
