When adding bands to bar for squats and bench, does the resistance of each band add together, or does it stay the same? Hopefully this makes sense.

Ok thanks, that's what I was wondering. Looks like I miscalculated my workout earlier. One 20lbs of resistance band on each side would add 40lbs at the top if that's what you mean. Unless everything I've ever learned and believed is a lie anyway.
Yeah I can imagine. What do you think about the method of standing on a scale and subtracting bodyweight? Saw something about it on elitefts.Get a fishing scale to weigh them. Trying to calculate based on the charts by length isn’t very accurate
It’s better than the charts and a tape measure. This is where is at. Works for chains too.Yeah I can imagine. What do you think about the method of standing on a scale and subtracting bodyweight? Saw something about it on elitefts.
Thanks, good lookin out. I'm gonna order it right now. It’s better than the charts and a tape measure. This is where is at. Works for chains too.
So you'd just hook one end of a band and pull to roughly the length it would be at lockout? It’s better than the charts and a tape measure. This is where is at. Works for chains too.
Yup tie the band or suspend it how you plan on using and use the scale to pull on it. It’ll give the resistance required to pull or push to the lock out height, then multiply by 2.One method I read about

Another method I read (only works for squats and deadlifts) was to setup the bands and stand on the scale at lockout. This would show how much additional resistance they apply at lockout beyond yourself and an empty barbell, which you can just subtract out. Again, only works for standing movements.
Looks like Rogue has some but some are sold out. EliteFTS has some singles as wellAnyone know of a place where you can actually purchase bands? Everywhere I’ve looked they are sold out. Same thing goes for a new mountain bike. Can’t even find one at a Walmart. Lol.
Yea I was looking for the variety pack. My wife and daughters use them too so looking for the whole shebang.Looks like Rogue has some but some are sold out. EliteFTS has some singles as well

These are the ones I have. I picked up two sets a couple years ago so I'd have a pair of each.
Thanks big guy. I saw that there were some bands in stock from Rogue and I pounced on them yesterday. Two orange, two red, two green and two black for around 100$. Appreciate your post though.@Oldschool

For what exercise and how do you have them set up? Typically either double over or move to a heavier bandWhat's better, switching to stronger bands for more tension or adding multiple weaker bands?
