Quit Gear 5.5 weeks ago don't notice much

Training and overall energy has definitely taken a hit but it's just not as drastic as what people described in forums.

I no longer feel superhuman with endless drive and huge pumps but I don't feel castrated either, I just feel like my natty old self. My pre gear test levels were 859 so I am curious to find out what they look like after 5 years of being on test.
If you were at 859 natural I hope you took advantage and got to your maximum genetic potential before you started cycling. You must be pretty young?
You can recover without a pct but it's gonna take longer. Wait until you've been completely off for about 10 weeks. Then if you haven't started recovering, trust me, you'll feel it.

11 weeks since last shot, sex drive is probably half of what it used to be on test but its still workable. no issues so to speak of but no massive drive.

Everything else is pretty good, work, sleep, mental state etc.

Been off for 19 weeks today.

I’m just a plain ol natty but nothing disastrous happened over the last 5 months like I read on the forums.

Lower sex drive sure but that’s expected, not an animal in the gym anymore of course but no mental breakdown, no acne and I didn’t deflate like a balloon.

So anyone who’s thinking of coming off cold turkey it’s not as bad as you think it will be.

Do you have bloodwork?

Definitely wouldn't reccomend people just cold turkey it. If you're coming off, the smart thing to do would be PCT. Even with PCT you probably won't fully recover.

When I went off, did a hard PCT with nolva, clomid, HCG, and HMG. Got up to around 450 test, but then my levels plummeted shortly after. If I had cold turkeyed it, I'm sure it would have been much worse

Thanks for continuing the updates. Good stuff.

Have not done bloodwork yet but no doubt my test will be lower than the 850 reading I previously had in 2014.

I stayed away from the PCT drugs as I was emigrating countries and did not want to deal with sourcing issues and sides. Turns out the sides for me going cold turkey were basically non existent so I think I made the right choice.

Will try to get bloodworm done in the next month or so.

I am sitting here and it's now exactly 9 months since Ive come off.

I cannot believe I stayed on for 5 years straight because I feared a major almost drug withdrawal like a read online. The fat gain, major muscle loss, acne, hair shedding, depression, anxiety never appeared.

After being off for 2 months, the next 3 months my sex drive was pretty much shut down. Was relying heavily on Cialis but that was about the only side I had.

So all those reading fear not if you need to come off abruptly the world does not end.

Glad it worked out for you.

My natural test levels were shit. I am not going back to that

Good to hear! Thanks for the update!

Ok you said health wise but how about socially and mentally?

When using gear its not only about muscles, but what comes with them. Theres definitely social benefits you get from being a big bastard.

People think better of you, men respect you more, you dont get confronted as much (or at all). Kinda gives you some "status".

And how you see yourself day to day? Do you feel depressed now that you are closer to a normal sized person?

How has quitting gear impacted your life? Supposing you lost a significant part of weight.

Have you gotten bloodwork?

Either your testosterone levels naturally recovered or they didn't.

If your testosterone recovered naturally then it could have recovered faster with medication
and if your testosterone didn't, then you've got low testosterone and are acting like its no big deal

Countered by negative social stigma of balding, having a bloated face that makes you look 5-10 years older, being out of breath more easily if you're over 30 bmi, etc.
