Rack Pulls, opinions?

Now that I have recently been diagnosed with early stage degenerative disk disease, I found that I can't pull from the floor without a lot of pain but rack pulls from just below the knee as described above work for me as a substitute for deadlifts. Recently bought a new Rogue belt to provide support as well.
 
The setup at my gym has the bottom of the 45lb plates about 5-6" off the floor with the catch bars at the lowest setting in the rack and that works perfectly for me.
