My 35$ cheap ass one has saved my ass a few times... Well worth it..

With normal police radar they work very well. And most departments still use radar guns and not Lidar. From 4,000 feet away Lidar can paint your ass before you know what happened. You can only jam Lidar. And LE can easily determine that from what shows up.

My radar went off a couple days ago while crusing at 85.. Slammed on the brakes got down to 70 in a 65. And looked around as my radar went from 1 bar to 3 means he was close... Next thing I know he was on my ass... Got over and he got next to me and slowed down... Gave me a look and sped off.... Since I've had my radar I haven't gotten pulled over.. 4 years without a ticket... Btw I have 17 tickets in my life...

A lot of times they could give 2 fuks. They're there more as a deterrent. 17 tickets. Damn!

Lidars don't give you the time or date of a ticket. They only display speed & distance. No way to determine if the ticket was actually meant for you, or the last person the cop pulled over.

There a YouTube video of how you can manipulate a lidar gun. They made a house go 74 mph...lol.

Some Lidar do display time and date. But those are the minority. Yes you can manipulate like I stated. But LE will know that. If no reading comes back or say it says 14 mph on the highway they know exactly what car is manipulating it. With a 20" wide beam you would have a tough argument saying it was a car 10' from you. I've used Lidar and lasing systems since I was 18 and started using SOFLAM. Lidar can't be beat. Only manipulated. Which wouldn't help you.
