So I'v been around these boards for a long time, never joined. Been on many boards for even longer. Been home brewing for years. Had times on and of brewing where i would go back to UGL. But the problem i always have is UGL's are so unreliable! Everytime I think I have a good UGL it turns bunk!
I have recently just turned back to brewing, and have a lot of experience in it, but now i am stumpped! Haven't been able to obtain a new source for a long time, been using up the last bits and bobs I have left from previous brews.
NOW, i am not asking for a source. That would be stupid, BUT.... what is confusing me is how on earth do i go about getting my raws? It seems to me that now matter how hard I look I cant find anything that SEEMS reliable. Obviously most who post openly on boards or spam are a definate no go! But yet I cant trust PM's from anybody either. Then theres just doing all my own research, but its not as if you can trust the majority of suppliers either, most are middle men, and even if they aren't how do i know the purity of the final product?? I could easily send of the product for testing, and the expense is not a problem, but could you imagine the time and money involved in trial and error? What about testing multiple compounds. I know i've been out the brewing game for quite a while. But it seems it isn't what it use to be!!
Now i know for a fact there are hundreds of people brewing as we speak, but no1 is going to spill the bean (which I expect). Just tired of BUNK gear (UGL and Pharma) wasted time, and wasted money. My own brews ALWAYS gave me the best results (before anyone says, my old powder source seems to no longer exist)
The ironic thing is im probably going to receive multiple PM's that I cant trust, but it just seems im spinning my wheels and always will be.
Anyway sorry for the moan, I'm glad to be a part of this board as it seems that everyone here has a no BS aproach unluck some other boards that I wont mention!
