RAW strength

Some of you might remember me from a few years back...good to be back. I've been doing the 5x5 workout consistently for the past year(s) and I'm currently on the 3x3 part of the program. My progress is as follows:

6'3 225lbs.

Squat 3x3 max: 385lbs.
Bench 3x3 max: 315lbs.
Deadlift 3x3 max: 405lbs.

I'm not stuck by any means, and it seems like I'll go up 5lbs. on any given lift in a few weeks. Most of my focus has been on my legs (I was doing 225lbs. when I started) and now I'm curious how balanced I am.

My stats any good?

Also, I'm only focused on strength, I could give a shit about size. In fact, if I could go down to 205 and still get stronger I would. But, I lift on my own and I have no other guidance or strength examples to compare with. All I know is that there are a lot of big fags at the gym with 22 inch arms and I tend to out lift them all.

Any strength athletes in WA? I live between Seattle and Tacoma.

One last note, I've never done steroids. Is it time to consider juice? Or should I change up my program? I really want to be stronger...

I'm right there with ya Hendrix. I'm a strength athlete as well. Your numbers look pretty good and you'd have my respect if I saw you in squat rack. Though an old thread, this one details my progress and stats: https://thinksteroids.com/community/threads/26215

And from what I've been told by some well respected and experienced coaches, those numbers are pretty decent. And you aren't far off.

Also, don't bash the BB'rs so hard. They want to look that way, and thus they train differently. I too outlift guys that are 50lbs larger than me. But then again, they can crush me when it comes to reps above 5! Different strokes for different folks.

anyone else? I don't want to gain extra weight, just strength, but I will put on pounds if it's necessary...consider juice? Any advice is greatly appreciated (well, good advice).

My fault, I missed the last part of your original post in which you asked for the strength routine. I would advise switching to a WSB routine for a bit. I also would advise you seeking out AnimalMass for some training advise. Tell him I sent you.

After working with AM and switching to a WSB style routine, I was able to add a great deal to all of my 1RM's. So much in fact that my tendons started popping/hurting. Not the goal of course, but you get my point. And that was after 14 years of training.

I would give you a routine, but tha would be a disservice to AM. Give him a shout, he will help you regardless. He does charge yes, but he'll work with you on that if need be. Hell, after you make such great gains in strength, you'll most likely feel guilty not to offer him $ for his advise.

I worked with AM and it was great...great until he just stopped e-mailing me back after i paid for a whole year...what ever happened to him?

Ouch.....I don't know the full dynamic of why that occurred. But you might try posting on the forums at midwestbarbell.com. He is a mod there and posts quite often, last I checked.
