My daughter and I have been on retatrutide since February, me losing 58 lbs and her 60lbs. My goal weight was 185 lbs, my high school weight. I still have some fat and loose skin in my lower belly area. My daughter still has about 40lbs to go. She will basically lose a whole person when she reaches her goal. I decided to stay on a bit longer and hit 12 mg per week for 6 weeks and reached 175 lbs. My daugher at 8mg per week .After that, I stalled for about 4 more weeks and felt I was just wasting it, even though I was working out and eating a proper diet along with daily fasting. we were close to running out and ordered more, the order should have been In 2 to 3 days but got held up for 3 weeks and going on the 4th week now and received the packagae yesterday. Since we've been off for those 3 weeks, I quickly gained back 10 lbs. Her 3 lbs Still working out, eating the same diet and fasting. I also noticed that my shirts fit way tighter around my arms and shoulders, and some loose skin in my belly has filled in a bit. Maybe my body is holding on to water weight. My appetite has come back very hard and I'm hungry most of the day, but that's how I was before starting retatrutide anyway. I'm 5'9 was very stocky and muscular, and now I'm lean and still have muscle, but nowhere near as big as I was. I lost some of my strength and muscle mass, but I feel good and light. I breath better and dont gas out from carrying so much extra weight and no longer have back problems from work. Also always lifted heavy when working out to stay strong to move heavy materials on jobsites.i been a tile setter/contractor over 35 yrs. I'm thinking of staying off for awhile longer so I can start over from a low dose. How long should a person take a break before restarting at beginner doses again?

Why take a break? Seems kind of like a diabetic saying they'll take a break from their insulin until their diabetes flares up again. There's plenty of evidence supporting staying on a GLP indefinitely.

Congrats on you and your daughter making such dramatic changes, assisted or not it's still work that has to be done consistently.

People need to get their heads around the fact GLPs are incretin HORMONES, not diet pills.

How long does a hypogonadal man need to use TRT before they can stop and maintain the same level of Testosterone?

How long does a diabetic need to use insulin before they can stop and maintain glucose levels?

If you don't produce sufficient GLP, or are resistant to it, adding exogenous GLP to fix that requires a maintenance dose just like any other hormone deficiency. Again, it's not a diet pill. You're treating a dysfunction of the key appetite regulating hormone.

How many iu’s and frequency did you inject??..12fm correct?

How many IU's and frequency did you inject? 12 fm correct?

1 mg per IU. 12 IU = 12 mg on insulin needle. I was injecting 4 IU 3x a week M,W,F. After being off for 6 weeks I quickly regained and fluctuated between 15 to 20 lbs while still maintaining my diet and exercise. My guess is water weight. My muscles felt full, my shirts became tight around my arms, shoulders and traps. Everything else was the same and I became very vascular, especially in my legs and calves. I decided to get back on and have been on for 4 weeks, increasing dose by 2 mg every week. Currently at 6 mg a week and have lost about 10 lbs so far. I will stay at 6 mg for now and increase if needed until I get back to my previous weight and then back down to a low maintenance dose of 2 mg to 4 mg.
