real player problems on my comp?

I am very computer illiterate and am having problem with my real player . Does anyone know how to delete somthing downloaded on to real player, I can not figure it out for the life of me. There are no apparent buttons to delete the videos.

phil, thesw files are downloaded onto your c:\ drive, usually under the 'downloads' directory, and not onto real player itself. just do a search for the file on your drive and you'll find it. then just delete as you would a regular file.

Thank you for responding, like I said I am 100% comp. illiterate! I followed your instructions but there is no downloads directory, I wrote down the name of the files and than ran a scan on the hole comp and they did not show up, they seem to be only on the real player. So confused!

ok, you may have the name spelled incorrectly so the search is coming up with nothing. here's what you can do. do another search but use what is called a 'wildcard'. this is the character '*'. for example if the file is called 'this is the file 123' you can do a search by typing this, 'this*123'. the * takes the place of the other characters. the reasoning behind this is that perhaps you copied the name down incorrectly or you put in a space where there was none, etc. this way you can leave room for error in the spelling of the file's name. let me know how that works.

just click once on the file in the playlist in Real and it should turn blue but it shouldn't start playing. then press the Del button on your keyboard and it will ask if you want to delet the file just from real or from your whole harddrive, click the box to get it off your harddrive then click ok. boom, it should be gone

I am really still having a hard time, I have tried doing both of your suggestion, I can not seem to find the file. I looked under both the c drive and the comp, by going to start seacrh then looking. It is more annoying than anything. Any info is great! Thank you for helping me out!

when I go under real player and click open, the list appears underneath, if I click them they just play I wanted to get rid of them!

can you uninstall real player than just redownload it?
