Not sure what his books were, but I can tell you that most of these would be on it.
AnimalMass' recommended reading list.
1) Science and Practice of Strength Training by Zatsiorkski (This should be the first book everyone read in regards to training.)
2) Supertraining by Siff (tougher than science and practice but also much more detailed - but you'll need a background in science and practice to get it.
3) A good exercise phys book - the best out there is Bioenergetics
4) Designing Resistance Training Programs by Fleck and Kraemer
5) Arthur Dreschler's Weightlifting Encyclopedia is really good.
6) For AAS, if you have a good general knowledge about gear then Building the Perfect Beast is the best advanced gear book I've ever read by far.
