Recurring Sciatica

If you are getting continuing sciatica symptoms then you need to see your doctor/physiotherapist and get an MRI. In general doctors are useless on their own and will just provide analgesics, if they try to fob you off with this then ask to be referred to a physio: they have the skills to perform the same techniques as chiros but they know when to and not to use them!

Would like to add the causes.

Poor movement (lack if hip hinge and tight hams) often irritate the back and may cause herniations.

Poor function of glute Maximus often cause excessive tightness in hams aswell, and piriformis tightness, which in turn may cause false sciatica.

*Learn hip hinge
*Work mobility of hams
*work function and strength of glute max

I'd like to add yes a X-ray is difinitivly helpful ... Whoever said it wasn't is mistaken . X-rays will show the disc space and if it's squashed , if it's retrothesis , heirneted , slipped etc . Will also identify a pars fracture . The MRI will help show If a nerve is compressed and more serious spinal canal injuries . I'm fused meaning I have rods running from L4 - sacrum . No discs they removed them and Injoined the whole darn thing .
For sciatica I use a foam roller cross my leg over the other leg and target a glute and roll it out . It puts pressure on that nerve and can release some tension - try it
