Refillable injector pen

I dont know if I just got shitty Ergo 2 pens or not but mine leak after doing an injection even if I leave them in for 20+ seconds. Once I pull it out it drips quite a bit.

Anyone else experience this?

I get a small drop...I found keeping pressure on the plu ger and holding for 10 sec or so helps

I wouldn't describe the drips as "quite a bit"

Try squirting out a full dose and compare that volume to the drips

It's not very much at all

I had this issue when i first got the pen.
Its nothing to do with the pen.

Its due to temperature differences causing expansion and contraction.
It can be minimized by (1) quickly injecting the moment u take it out of the fridge, (2) using a smaller gauge. i use 33g 4mm, i would have bought 34g but had no stock, (3) having no air bubbles in the cart.

I assume you are talking about pens kept in the fridge.

my insulin needles dont leak one drop, lol

you're probably losing as much in insulin pins as with drips from the pen ... not much

the difference is with pens, you literally watch the little drips coming out of the needle after you inject and your mind plays games ("it's a lot!")

Maybe 3 or 4 times (out of hundreds of injections with ergo pens) I've had it squirt out after I removed the needle. But I have a lot of loose skin, with very little actual fat left under it, so I figured I just hit a bad spot.

It's not just a small drop, it's enough that it runs down the needle and then down the cartridge if it hold it vertical. Looks like a little geyser if I hold it vertical. lol. If I pin my leg and pull it out, it drips pretty decent size drops onto the floor as I pull it out. I'm sure it's not a lot in the grand scheme of things but it seems like a lot more than what happens when I pull the pin out of an oil based injection and I'll get a drop that comes out or a bit of blood.

I'll give this a shot. These are refrigerated pens.

With my setup i get 1 drop on the pen needle tip when i pull out.
The drop does not drip off, it just remains there.
Then i dump the pen needle and put it back in the fridge.

In and out of the fridge in < 1 minute.

Just curious, do you have any fat in the area your shooting? Might try an area where you can pinch up a good amount and shoot directly into the hump the pich makes.

Guys is my Lilly HumaPen Ergo2 a fake?

I can't believe a legitimate company would have shoddy pen design and finish.

This is the exact link and store I picked it from viz Heaven Island Store

Edit : Also it just feels "flimsy" is the best way to describe it. Plasticky and light af.

I have Pfizer original pens and they seem like a tank in construction in comparison.

I know they're not the same things but still.

Im sure they are knockoffs but it works fine (at least mine does) and has held up well so far. The fill tanks fit and work well and I havent had any issues yet with daily use.

I have a few from that store that me and the wife use and have had no issues with them for the last year

This was a big wakeup call for me. Doing 5iu i kept seeing a few drips and just assumed that was half the dose. One day I actually squirted out 5iu and thought "yeah those drips are nothing in comparison"

Not sure if the main guy is having the same issue but a couple iu is enough to squirt out a small stream. Never realized it before

My experience was the same with with the ergo 2 I just just just picked up. 1 iu is a pretty long stream when dosed at 10iu per 3ml.

There's been quite alot of reports about the plastic from the pen degrading and cracking first lol, in this thread.
Never once had a pen cartridge need to last more than 30. It makes sense it could be an issue but why not mix up your batches in smaller batches and that you can work through more quickly

He's trying to put oil in the pens..but it probably has BA/BB and even EO (if Chinese gear). With constantly contact of those solvents, the rubber might start leeching into the oil in a day or two (no clue, im sure someone can run a test).
