Ehh... I like peyton but "stand up guy" only goes so far. He's a stand-up guy until an accusation like this pops up and survival mode kicks in. He's fully aware that if he's truly caught he'll be burned at the stake. No more sponsors and he'll have every achievement he's ever accomplished in football be called into question because he achieved everything "unfairly" 
He's also close to retirement, he wouldn't want this to ruin everything. Not that it should IMO but it certainly could. In a nutshell, hell lie his little heart out if he has to. I don't blame him one bit for it either, I hope he does and I hope the guy gets away with it. I'd like some hgh myself after a neck surgery.

Who cares HGH or no HGH he is a damn good quarterback. You could give two third the NFL quarterbacks HGH and they still could not touch Manning. PS I am a die hard EAGLES fan

He did but don't you think Peyton mannings people put the screws to the reporter making him retract it? I mean come on- Peyton hired the top crisis management person as soon as the story broke. He for sure threatened with legal agtion among other things if the reporter didn't retract.
Btw- with a surgery like that and the money he has, Peyton would be dumb not to use hgh.
