Where are you pulling that from? I find that VERY unlikely, as you would see particulate in a lot of the vials. This seems like a pretty bold claim, with no evidence to support it.

I agree with you WP, some UG may use a more porous filter to do it faster, but it would be obvious if it wasn't filtered at all. Lots of particles. The first time I dabbled in a home brew, I was doubting it before I filtered, then it looked ok...... For UG, if in doubt run it through a whatman filter anyway..
