Rom

I measured how far it is from the middle of the bar on the floor to the bar in my hands durring a deadlift (no shoes on). Then I measurd how far it is from the middle of the bar in complete lockout to the bar on my chest durring a bench press and I found it's the same number (deadlift ROM = 24 inches, bench ROM = 23.7). Which is only 2 feet, I was kinda of supprised cause 2 feet doesn't seem like that much.. it looks like a lot more when I'm doing it cause I'm 6'2.
It's this normal? I always assumed that the ROM for bench on average would be smaller then the deadlift. Does this mean anything? You guys ever measure your ROM?

it means u have too much time on your hands lol! I am sure it varies on individuals. Some are stubby legged and others have long legs. Same goes with the arms. Not sure though b/c never really cared. maybe grizz will measure himself and let us know

it's true I do have too much time on my hands. I think I'm just looking for a reason why I suck at benching.

Wow that is really weird that you would think of such things . LOl I wouldn't have guessed in a million years that a bench press would be further than a deadlift . Do you do sumo's or something ? Do you have a narrow pressing movement ? I guess i can see it now that I think about it , you do not actually pull the weight that far . Me for sure at 5'6" and 3/4 . Yup I'm short . [:o)]
