Rough 'em up or not?

OK guys... could use some advice.

My sister in law and her husband are in a shit relationship, constantly yelling and fighting. Now, I stay out of that because she is a bit nuts herself and if he calls her fat and verbally abuses her, well I wouldn't step in until her physically hurt her.

So the other day my wife gives the two of them a ride to pick up their car after getting towed. As soon as he gets out he starts to fucking rip on my wife. Says my wife is just as retarded as my sister in law and she's bitch blah blah blah.

I personally think he crossed the line. My problem is with all the litigation these days, it's almost a sure thing that this will end up in court with battery charges.

Any ideas or thought would help because I am pissed!

I wouldnt physically kick his ass unless he did it in front of you, but he definitely deserves a talking to for berating your wife. You have to stand up for your wife. Its what a husband is supposed to do.

As for your sis, I would recommend that she seek marital counseling. Preferrably with him, but if he wont go, then at least go by herself.

You don't need to kick his ass just punch him in the gut, get on top of him when he goes to the ground, choke him until he is about to pass out, yell at him while you are doing this, make threats, peoples perspectives really change when they think they are about to die. Just a suggestion.

I agree with some of the others. If your sister in law is weak enough to stay in that relationship that that is her problem for now. But if this clown thinks he can talk to your wife that way, you need to put his ass in check quick.Be sure not to say anything that can get you in trouble with the law, but definitely let his dumb ass know that if he ever talks to her like that again that he won't be doing much talking for a long time.
