RU58841 chest pain

Has anyone experienced chest pain with RU58841? What does it feel like?

I started RU recently, soon after gynecomastia surgery. Of course I've had post-surgical pain, intermittent and covering a broad area of the chest, which was more prominent on the left side than the right. This was all before starting RU.

After starting RU, it's been difficult to tell if lingering pain in the left chest is post-surgical or a heart-related side effect from the RU. When the pain comes, it's sharp and is affected by how I breathe. It only lasts a few minutes. And it doesn't seem to correlate at all with my RU dosing schedule. And there _seems_ to be a place on my chest that, when pressed, makes the pain worse. I haven't really had any other side effects from the RU. All signs that it's not the heart, but I'm still not sure.

I'd initially convinced myself that this is not related to the RU and went a couple weeks without pain, but I felt it again yesterday and have paused RU indefinitely. I'm planning to setup a new patient appointment with a cardiologist today and see what they say. In the meantime, any thoughts/experiences are welcomed.

This a symptom of RU going systemic and many people have reported similar cases, try to hop off and wait till it stops, if you feel comfortable with hopping back on make sure to lower the dose and use gloves to minimize absorption with your hands. Also take a look at forums on Reddit like Tressless and other people’s issues with RU specifically chest pain.

As someone who’s also hyper aware of chest pains out of concern of having a heart attack go unnoticed, if you can press and make it worse, it’s not your heart. There are a few things in that area that can cause it, and if you’re in a cold climate that often makes it worse (plus your surgery).

Heart pains, I’m told, tend to be duller and “heavy” or “pressure” feeling vs sharp shocks. But the clincher is pressing. You can’t press into your cardiac arteries. Pressing would make no difference in the case of a heart attack.

Of course when in doubt, just call 911. Better safe than sorry and they’ll be happy to clear you on the spot if all is good.
