Rub or no rub on injection site

Wondering what people do after injecting. Do you rub it in or leave it alone. I get pip sometimes pretty bad. I usually rub it in a lot and sometimes I just give it a light rub. I’m not injecting much about 2ccs. 1 primo and 1 test. Sometimes a little more test but not much. Most times it don’t bother me at all. Then sometimes it’s pretty bad. Just never paid attention to how much I rub it if it causes pain across my glutes. No rub rub lightly or rub it in real well. What do most do.

PIP is kind of an odd subject. Lots of different opinions about what causes it. Lot of variables involved. I’m not really sure massaging or “rubbing” the area would have much of an effect on if you are or are not going to get PIP. For me, PIP will usually take about 2 or 3 days after the injection to show up, depending on what it is that I’m injecting. Again, in my experience PIP is easier to deal with in the upper body, ex: delts, pecs, then in the quads. Nothing worse than hobbling around for 2 or 3 days and making excuses at work as to why im limping.

It usually takes about a day for it to start on me. Its the oddest thing. Im going to cut it to 2 injections a week any way so hopefully that helps. I uae to do my delts for so long because thats what the Dr always did when I started TRT. But then went to glutes and never when back. Thanks.

i dont rub injection site. sometimes i can feel it but its not that bad.
i have 0 issues with glutes/quads, delts are always uncomfortable during/after

from my experience heat helps. sauna is best.

I will never understand grown men’s obsession with pip. Sometimes the gear or the raws are bad but calling mommy to kiss the wound while being a testo fueled knucklehead always seemed weird.

Good gear shouldn't give you any pip.
Had some test e in past that after pinning I was left feeling like I got shot in a leg lol

Nowadays I got no pip in no sites so if I buy a puppy gear I bin it.
But I don't use test e anymore and that seemed to be the big offender for most labs anyways in terms of pip.

I sucked it up for years before switching test and using vendors that aren't reported by users to be "pippy".

I do exactly this.

Tricks my mind into thinking "this feeling after an injection is just from me rubbing it, and it doesn't hurt"
Proper practice with IM injections is light pressure after the needle is withdrawn. Rubbing or massaging the area can cause increased pip, and can also negatively affect absorption by forcing the oil up and into surrounding tissues, including subcutaneous and adipose tissues. Although this is counter-intuitive, it is standard medical advice you can find when looking at how to properly do intramuscular injections. I also used to rub the injection site, thinking it would reduce pain and make the oil go deeper, which ironically is the exact opposite on both counts. Funny how stuff like that is sometimes.

This is 100% right…
