rubbing one out before a workout?

Every morning I wake up at 4am let the dogs out and rub one out in the bathroom. Head to the gym for a few hours come back and if I'm lucky the kids are gone and my wife is in the kitchen naked. Been doing this for years.
Question is do you thing jerking off before a workout hurts performance in the gym and in other activities such as soccer and basketball. I've been doing this for years but a few nights ago I was an old boxing documentary on Oscar De la Hoya where his trainers told him no sex before his fight. I also heard of this from other athletes in different sports that it wasn't good to have sex before the game.
 
If my Wife gave me sex right before my workout I would be worthless. No mojo [emoji4]
I tag her after the workout because she looks so dang sexy in her workout clothes, lol.
 
It's a Bro Science Myth. It may actually improve your performance, I know it does for me. I consider it part of my warmup routine!
I believe this is indeed myth, although it seems to be folk lore for many many years in a wide range of different cultures. I know for certain there are restrictions in regards to Iron Palm training, strict dietary restrictions and also NO NUTS THE ENTIRE TRAINING CYCLE!! But then you have "modern" athletes like Wilt Chamberlain that claim to have sex in the back of a cab on the way to a game and drop record buckets.
 
I read an article some where that debunked the idea sex had a significant affect on athletic performance...coaches just don't want their star players getting caught up in some female drama and getting their heads out of the game
 
I don't have sex (or otherwise ejaculate) before a workout because I find I have less vigor or intensity if I do. I have actually intentionally experimented with it a few times both ways before coming to this conclusion. But YMMV.
 
I read an article once that debunked the myth that rubbing one out would reduce testosterone and hurt your work out. They showed that test levels were basically unaffected. However, there is a chemical released at orgasm that sedates you to some degree. They suspected that chemical could reduce performance in the gym. I don't recall what the chemical was or where to find the article.
 
If you have a high ass libido like me you can do it whenever. Also, it helps before so I can focus on the workout and not all the fine ass.

My libido high as shit. Natural, on cycle, pct. It don't matter 11:00pm 2:14am 3:37am when I wake up it because I rolled onto my hard on. My wife knows all of this she's just glad I don't wake her up
 
I have a high libido also but when my wife wanted to have a baby and I had to get off all the gear im not gonna lie I was not my self after the post was done I was a lot better but not like normal thank god she got pregnant quick so I could get back to feeling like I'm 20
