Ruckin's first cycle log: test cyp only [IV gear]

Does your gym have a SSB or cambered bar to do squats with?

*edit Trust me I know the feeling. I'm dealing with shoulder mobility issues now which is messing with my squat form and completely fukking up my bench. It sucks but remaining healthy proves to be a better choice in the long run
Nah all I have access to are standard typical barbells. It wasn't really grabbing the bar that was the problem, it was when I would try to get my back tight that my shoulder didn't like. And there was no way I was gonna purposely squat with a loose torso just to ease the shoulder pain. That thought crossed my mind for a second and it had "horrible idea" written all over it.

Yea that's probably for the best.

Where are your elbows during the squat? Under the bar or kind of up and behind it?

I do my best to keep them up and behind. I used to experience a lot of elbow pain from squats, and switching to having my thumb over the bar instead of wrapped around it, and keeping my elbows up and back fixed that for me.

I too use the thumbless grip. I used to keep my elbows like you until my coach told me to change it and try to keep my elbows under the bar more instead of flaring them out and back. Try that to see if it eases tension off your shoulder. You'll get an added benefits from keeping the elbows under the bar more also:

If during a heavy squat you let your chest cave and upper back come too far forward, drive the elbows up and udner the bar like you're trying to get them in front of your body this will help fix and overcome your chest caving and upper back collapsing.

Are you injecting with the same needle you draw with? I use 23ga to draw up the oil 25ga 1-1/2" to inject 2.7ml of oil and my pip lasts a few hrs at the most.

Nope I draw with a 20 and pin with a fresh 1.5" 25g.

My glute is increadibly sore today, it's hard to not walk with a limp. Maybe I should look into ventroglute injections.

Try using a 1in needle. You'll get used to it after a while if you're gear is good. When I pin my homebrew, the first few pins of a cycle in any muscle gets knotted and inflamed a bit. After the first couple weeks it's completely gone.

All I have are 1.5 inchers. Do you think it would actually make a difference somehow in my pip to use the shorter ones? I can order some tonight. I hate to sound like a little bitch, but I can't keep dealing with this pip. It's definitely the worst today that it's been any day so far since I started.

How about running all your gear through a syringe filter?

With the 1" you could go shoulders and quads.

The deeper you pin the more tissue you end up going through.

Instead you could just not put the entire 1.5in needle in. Where are you pinning? Are your hands shaking? Do you warm the gear a little before pinning? Do you push the plunger as hard as possible or inject slowly?

Do you use a filter yourself 7dog? I guess I could look into that. And yeah I should look into pinning delts, no way do I wanna do quads though. I hear way too many stories about crippling pip from quads.

I've been doing the upper-outer quadrant of the glute. Yeah I've warmed it for 10+ min in a heating pad each time before pinning. My hands have gotten much more steady since my first pin but there's definitely still room for improvement there. No I don't push the oil in as fast as i can, i'd say it's been taking about 1 min to get all 1.67 ml in on average.

Thanks a lot for helping me try to figure this out you guys, it's really nice of you :)

I did not filter, but I do have a couple. My Test C is from One Pharma. 50ml Jug. We're going to figure this out.

Do you guys think pinning twice per week would help too? As of now I'm just doing all 500 mg every monday morning.

Imo if its bothering you so much that it effects your job and workouts, then yes try 2 times a week.

I get more discomfort from once a week pinning bc of the volume. Twice a week would make it a bit less. Also try quads. I find them to get less discomfort than glutes. Pecs have slight discomfort at first but after the third pin or so they're fine for me too

I'll switch to twice per week then per the advice from you two.

Also I have a feeling that the excessive pain from this week's pin might be related to pinning too close to a nerve. Is this a possibility? The reason I think so is because I noticed that there's a slight tingling sensation going down my leg on the side I pinned this week. I've had sciatica before so I'm familiar with the feeling of a pinched nerve, although this isn't nearly as bad as I've had it before.

Anyway I'll get to the gym later somehow. I think I am gonna go to the shittier one that's within walking distance just so I don't have to drive. Driving yesterday was miserable from having to sit on this glute. I am hoping that I'll be able to do presses today. My shoulder is feeling pretty good.

Great news, my shoulder is almost good as new! I'd say it's at 95% as of today. That's a miracle that it's so much better only a week after that freak accident. I was able to do normal full presses tonight! I didn't go quite as hard as I probably could have, just to be cautious, but I'm still very happy with what I was able to do.

Pip is still very bad in my glute and I still wasn't able to do anything lower-body so this was pretty much just an upper body workout.

press: 125x10x3
Db rows: 100x10,10,13
Chins: 245x7
Db Curls: 35sx12x3
Side raises: 40sx12x3

I was really happy with the dumbbell rows too. I was only going for 3 sets of 10 and I was able to bust out an extra 3 reps on the last set for each arm. Still no cheating on those rows, if I can't pull it up without jerking/cheating then the rep doesn't count for me.

The set of chin ups was disappointing though. Maybe it was because I went straight to that from the rows, instead of doing some pushing movement in between like I normally do. I tried doing dumbbell incline bench but it was too painful to sit on the bench so I wasn't able to do those today.

Good to hear your shoulder is ok. Not good to hear the oil is still a pain in the ass. Lol Hopefully twice a week will work.

Are you having any sides yet? You know..Oily skin? Water?

I've been having mild night sweats almost every night this week, which seems strange, but no oily skin or noticable water retention yet. If anything I feel like I look a tiny bit leaner than I did a month ago, despite the strength gains.

AWESOME DAY TODAY! I woke up this morning prepared to spend all day at work and not being able to lift since my gym has awful weekend hours and would've been closed by the time I should have left work. But a half hour into my shift, my boss realized that the other idiot manager whose does the schedule had way too many people working this morning, so he asked if anyone wanted to leave and I jumped all over that opportunity lol.

I sped home blasting my music just feeling so pumped that I would be able to lift today and also go to my good friend's party later in the afternoon that we've been looking forward to for a while :)

power clean: 205x3x5
Bench: 215x12,12,13
Squat: 265x10x3
Dumbbell rows: 100x11,11,12
Db incline: 70sx12,14
Chins: 250x7x1
Power Shrugs: 375x12x3
Weighted planks: 70x30 sec x2
Curls: 35sx12x3
Side raises: 40sx12x3

I think the test is starting to kick in. I felt like a tank in the gtm today. I've never had such a crazy pump too, that was pretty cool. I didn't hit any crazy numbers but I just felt amazing and full of energy the whole time, whereas I usually start to get burnt out after squats.

Speaking of the squats, I was finally able to do them again today, although I would have liked to get better numbers, but I guess that happens when you don't squat for over a week. My shoulder feels very good too, as does my glute, pip is almost gone today. Hopefully I don't have to deal with it again any time soon *fingers crossed*

Also, I received a couple of compliments today on my size, which always feel really nice :D I've been hovering around the high 240s to 250 the last few days too.
