Ruckin's "Pre-First Cycle" cutting log

Thanks docd! No I think the water is just from the higher-than-usual amount of sodium I've been consuming lately. Stress could be contributing too but I'm sure it's mostly the sodium.

I know the feeling. The day after my meet I had moon face so bad EVERYBODY was commenting on it. Putting my sneakers on was a chore as my feet barely fit into them. Do you track sodium intake or just go with the flow?

Nah i don't track it, i just have a general idea for whether i take in a small, moderate, or big amount from day to day.

And @Voltrader thanks for the support brother.

I remembered today that it's been almost a week since I updated. I've been so darn busy lately, but better late than never I suppose.

4/13: just practice and conditioning

4/14: bench: 235x9x3
front squat: 185x10x3
chins: 244x7,7,5
shrugs: 365x10x3

Solid workout. Still haven't been doing cleans, back squats, and deads cause of my lower back though.

4/15: practice and conditioning

4/16: light day
front squat: 185x5x2
press: 145x5x2
chins: 241x3x2

4/18: high intensity day
front squat: 185x10,10,12
bench: 275x5
chins: 265x5
planks: 60x30 sec x2

This workout today was meh... It's so boring not doing normal squats, cleans, and deads. I'm gonna try squatting and cleaning again on monday or tuesday though, so I'm praying that it goes well!

I'm waking up every morning hoping it will be the day that I hit my target weight, It's like watching the second hand tick on a clock. It's almost getting suspenseful for me lol.

I think I'll keep this log going until I finish reverse dieting also. The reverse diet is almost harder than the dieting itself, just because it's so much harder to still restrict myself, even though I'll already have met my goal. It needs to be done though so I don't just balloon back up to where I was before, and undo all of my hard work over the last 3+ months.

I will be enjoying myself the day I wake up under 230 though hehehe.

IT'S FINALLY OVER!!!!!

What a shitty way to end a cut lol... So the last two days I've had a stomach virus that has been going around my house, and I haven't been able to workout at all. Monday was the worst (today is Wednesday), I spent all day in bed, and was awake for a total of maybe 5 hours that day. Yesterday was much better, but I was still feeling sick and wasn't figured it would be smart to just rest, so I spent most of the day in bed also, and now this morning I feel great! The number on the scale this morning certainly is contributing to how I feel though. 228.3 lbs!!! I'm really surprised. On monday I was 232.3, yesterday I was 230.5, and 228.3 this morning! I guess hardly being able to eat the last two days didn't hurt haha, but SHIT MAN I'll take it!

I'm gonna spend today celebrating with a cheat day and then I'll spend the next two or three weeks reverse dieting.

4/23:

supposed to be high volume day...

cleans: 195x3x4
press: 145x5x3
squat: 275x5x3
chins: 238x4x4
shrugs: 315x10x3

Back in the weight room today after being out sick this week, and I haven't lifted since Saturday, so it had been 5 days since I last touched a weight... And I could feel it lol. I went in expecting to hit a lot more reps with the weights I was using than I ended up being able to get. I'm not worried about it though, I'm sure it's because of the illness I'm getting over. I think I should be back to normal performance by next week. Also I have a rugby match in 2 days so I was fine with not pushing too hard today, I have a whole off-season for that.

In other news, I was able to squat and clean pain-free today! That was very exciting. My power clean form still needs plenty of work though so that is probably going to be a primary focus for the foreseeable future.

Edit: I forgot to mention, I'm eating 3400 cals/day this week, and cutting out all the extra cardio I've been doing. Next week I'll be increasing to 3600 cals/day. Then the week after that it'll be 3800/day and that should be the last week before I start my cycle :D

Strength is coming back nicely after being sick and what not not. I bumped my calories up from 23600 to 3800 today and that's the last increase I'll do before I stop counting next week when I should be starting my first cycle, which I just started a log for here: https://thinksteroids.com/community/threads/ruckins-first-cycle-log-test-cyp-only-iv-gear.134365127/

Reverse diet has been going very well. I've been effectively bringing my metabolism back up and transitioning into a normal eating routine again without any added body fat and binges. It's been so nice getting my muscle fullness back. I've been getting a lot of comments/compliments too.
