I agree and disagree. If mortar and pestle was useless big time pharma would not use them on their test batches.

Unless you have thousands of dollars for a granulator then MP is the best way to get consistency with mixing regardless the batch size.

But regardless granulation is always the best way to make consistent caps or tabs.

Your main objective is to get all powders including API the same weight/size so distribution is even.

But even with grinding his mix with a mortal and pestle, he has no way of properly mixing it after. Hence why a pharmaceutical mixer is essential. I don’t think OP understood this really when he made his OP, and he hasn’t said anything to make me think he gets it now.

I would say even before trying to get totally uniform particles by grinding with a mortal and pestle, he would be better off doing a crude match or particle size, and then using a blender.

Ex: For Anavar that would be “berry sugar” and Anavar, or Cialis and “maltodextrin”. I choose these as they have similar particle size and flow.

I would like to hear an in depth description of the filtering process. The common trend tends to be running the oil through a .45 and a .22 filter. As it seems you are making only one pass through .22 filter paper, I’m curious of the exact steps you’re taking.

Why would you need to use a .45, if you are able to successfully filter through a .22? The only logical reason a lab might use a .45 is it is a pre-filter for larger particulate. It can prolong the life of the filter, but as long as a compound is filtered via .22 micron filter it is good to go.

I’m not saying OP has a sterile process, but he doesn’t need to filter 2x, with 2 different filter sizes.

Pretty much hit it on the head. The reasons I can think of for other sources doing so is to perhaps make the filter process faster when they run it through the .2? I'm not brewing large enough batches or volume to really worry about my filters significantly clogging. I'm not afraid to dispose of filters once they start slowing down, the pennies saved isn't worth the time that adds up.

I'm going to reach out to W&M and see if it's possible for me to send him some raws, and then some finished oils and finished caps in the future so that I can see how accurate my current method is. Now that I'm here on the forums I should be able to use him in addition to other testers.

I'm not sure which part you were asking about, there's not much to really describe? I pour the finished oil into my filter, it filters into a sterile media bottle, I attach seripettor, pull my vials and caps from my mini autoclave, dispense 5 vials, then crimp 5 vials. After I finish up I clean and then sterilize all used equipment.

I'm definitely green when it comes to sourcing. I had mentioned earlier that I am completely new to sourcing. This is my first attempt at it. I spent a good amount of time and more than just a few dollars purchasing everything. I've spent weeks if not months reading intros and going through different posts in different subforums taking notes, and teaching myself how to brew, proper measures to take for security etc.

This isn't something I take lightly at all and I would hope that my intro and my responses throughout this thread can show that while I may be inexperienced I am also more than willing to apply myself and do my best to meet the standards that certain sources have set before me. I'm grateful for all the help and information being put out in this thread and I'm sure it won't help just me but future members and possible sources. Hopefully the time invested today will be paid back in the future.

More like an inside joke.
There was a source who had to "pack it up" because he spilled vat of guacaoil (spelling?) and the law was on to him because the neighbors may have reported the smell. A bunch of people in the thread thought he was talking about guacomole because he abbreviated it guac. In reality it was just another bullshit source who couldnt keep up with orders lying about why he was taking 3 weeks TA on domestic orders when he was on 4 other boards and had a fucking website.

I wasn’t implying that to you my man! It’s obvious you know your shit bro. I was pointing that towards the sources that come in. They should have their shit together man! If they have to ask how to do shit then they’re just not ready to source here imo.
If they’re here just to learn and become better why not just come in openly as a source that is here to learn before actually trying to make money first?!

I just don’t think it should be necessary to give all the information that you gathered over the years in a ‘sources’ thread.
If they are not yet tuned in to your knowledge and the knowledge of like minded members like yourself then do they need to even try be a source yet?!

It’s seems like they’re just jumping in head first without any real knowledge of what it takes.
Just my opinion. We should hold these sources accountable with the knowledge that we have! Not feed them with knowledge just so they can pretend to know what they’re doing just by typing up a post saying that they do...
