Saying Goodbye To An Old Friend

Hugs and prayers. I lost my dog to a poisonous toad. He died a horrible death. One of the worst days of my life. I cry just thinking about it. His sister was depressed for a year. I can still see it in her eyes.
That's crazy, I've never heard of that. My sisters cat died from eating a rat that had eaten rats poison; the cat was literally leaking blood from its eyes and mouth. I couldn't imagine dying from that.

Yeah it was so sad. I don’t want to get into the details because I’m really sad about it.

Sorry to hear that but its crazy cause When I was living in PR i had a great dane that also past away from eating a poison frog. I guess its more common than what I thought.

Sorry to hear that man.

I really want a dog but I will bawl once they go but I'm sure it's worth the ride.

Sounds like you have him a great life. rip Jack

Have had many great dogs, had a rottweiler who was an amazing dog, but as alot of them develop hip dysplasia and he wnded up getting valley fever that was really hurting his back legs as well. Had to put him down. was an amazing dog was blessed with a great bud for 7 years. also had a schnauser who was loyal to the end. Ended up becoming diabetic in his older years and we had go put him down as well. had a pitbull puppy who was a rescue i had got after my schnauser had passed. She got out and a lady said she attacked her dog. Animal control came and they ultimately put her down, but there were witnesses who said she was just trying to play with the dogs and was not acting aggresive at all. She was only about 6 months old, guess the lady just didnt like the breed :(

I know there's a thread dedicated to dogs but I wanted to give mine his own.

Jack passed away this morning after a diagnosis of hemangiosarcoma and splenic rupture 6 weeks ago. He was 13 years old.

Jack was the son I never had. He was my best friend and partner in crime, and we had dinner together almost every night. He was my constant travelling partner, always ever vigilante when he was on "moose patrol" during night drives on the highway. A few of you know that it was my ex that first got him but he bonded with me almost immediately, and he came with me after my divorce 11 years ago. We've been inseparable ever since. Jack's favorite thing in the world was chasing sticks, and anytime he was outside he usually had one in his mouth and wanted someone to throw it for him.

Jack, it was a privilege and an honor knowing you and I will miss you as long as I live. So long, my friend.
