The only thing about it that scares me is that when it happens, i have no control over it.
Could happen 10 minutes from now or 10 years from now.
Now, if it were under my control (suicide) i'm not nearly as afraid, because i get to choose how and when.

I've removed human tissue from cadavers I don't mind the thought of death I just don't think I'm ready to leave!
You guys weren't scared of non existence before you were born, death will most likely feel like the way you were before you existed, nothing to be scared of.
The physical act just before and up to the point of death scares the shit out of me. I am going to go by euthenasia while I am still of reasonable mind and body at a time and place I have predefined...unless accidental death.
I have some personal projects to complete, I won't die or get disabled before that happens.

God or no god I'm still not a fan of this ride coming to an end. If you believe in heaven/hell this life loses meaning other than some stupid test.
If you treat this life as the only one everything becomes more meaningful and precious, every act of kindness is more real.
We should stop robbing each other and ourselves with all this bullshit afterlife sales con fantasy (that there is no way to prove or disprove) and be thankful as fuck to be able to experience existence before we go back to non existence.
We know we are alive, we know we will die. That's all we know as fact about the matter.

DISAGREED. "life after death", Karma, fate, whatever you want to call it SHOULD MOTIVE FOLKS TO WATCH THEIR ASSES AND BE NICE and CONTRIBUTE to the elevation of Humanity or whatever we are.... I believe in "Pre-destination" beyond a doubt. Why fight it kinda. Seems like what happens just cant be stopped. So I put that to things like career and the Tangible luxuries.

I do SOMETIMES fear the loss of loved ones, the loss to them and what they will perceive more so. So I work harder to teach concepts like spirituality to EASE THEIR MINDS AND SOULS thus preparing them for better lives...

I agree. And in the current US Societies we shelter our young ones from the sight of DEATH REAPING. But for those that have SEEN AND WITNESSED someone laying there in their own piss and shit trying to catch their last breath for days or months. THAT'S SOME SCARY SHIT.... I'm gonna find me a Ninja and pay him to chop my fuking head off when that day comes. The catch is I either can't see him coming, or he's got to give me a blade and let me feel like I got my money's worth...!

I quit being afraid of death after riding on Route Pluto & Golds a few times. Although the thought of me losing my wife, or her losing me does concern me at times. We can't avoid death so we might as well make the most of life.I'd like to make it to 75 personally.
Sci-fi story; something about medical technology able to keep people alive forever. All anyone wanted to do was find a way to end it, they got that sick of living.
Having a finite life span is what makes life rich, meaningful and intense.

Scared of death? Not the slightest... Scared of dying unexpectedly without time to say I love you to my family? Scares the living shit out of me.
What scares me is that I know I'm on borrowed time with bodybuilding. Life long bodybuilders rarely see 75 yrs of age, so I'm probably going to tone it down as soon as I turn 40 yrs old and try to get back under 200 lbs and keep it there. The shitty part is that I'm going to have to lose muscle to do it

SRS, getting older is all about letting go of things you love and perhaps finding new things to love. It's hard and most hard if the things you live require a strong fit body. I remember my last football game and grieving that I was not only past my best but will never again do something I played and lived since I was 7yo. I remember my last competitive fight....last lots of things.
Can cause depression, I can't watch or follow sport. To me its be in the competition only or forget it.
10 years later I started coaching junior fighters at a police owned gym for troubled youth, its cool watching them grow, they in less trouble and improved their grades at school. I teach them to fight and do math and read. I have got new hobbies that don't rely on having a young man's body to be competitive, I am making myself a better person in mind and body, I am learning 3D design and CAD/CAM to create custom knives for hunting and fighting, I have started picking weights up off the floor and loving it...all I do us deadlift tho, prob should get a real programme one day. I no longer feel i have to prove myself or worry about being judged.
20 years max I prolly be dead, so what.

I've been there, technically still there. Death isn't what I fear the most. More so looking at my wife & children's faces worrying that I'll run out of time before I give them everything they deserve. Being honest, I try but fail at it everyday.
