Scenic snaps from around the world

An eagle near my house that caught itself some food last winter:

...and here's where I am moving later this year (location is a secret, but it is in a National Forest somewhere in the US ;))

All photos taken by me. Not sharing too much for fear of my work being recognized.

I've got about 350 more like these just from that trip. I take a shit load of photos! Actually just spent about 90 minutes yesterday cleaning up my Lightroom library, deleting photos I didn't want and just keeping the best ones. I deleted over 4000 photos and still have 3800 left in my library! Just emptied the recycle bin and it was over 53 GB of photos.

Photography is fun :)

I used to have an instagram and post photos there, but it is just bullshit. People steal your work, they'll even edit/crop out your watermark and repost it. And the way it works it's basically just the network of accounts owned by groups of people that force the actual photographers to pay to get "chosen to be featured." I remember I used to get people ALL THE TIME saying "Hey, would you like to be featured on our page?" and I'd say "Yeah that'd be awesome!" and they'd say "Okay, a feature costs $100" OR MORE, sometimes the really big accounts make people pay like 400 bucks for a feature. It is insane. And to think they feature 2-4 photos per day on average, they are raking in a fuck load of money from that bullshit...

So no more, I just take photos for myself. I make prints and have my photography hanging around my house, or make stuff for friends and family. It's just a nice hobby, albeit pretty damn expensive to get started.
