thx guys................

i feel decent even though i still have a slight pheumonia...... so after this is taken care of i will prob feel even better...........

Looks good... very close to what I was at 5 weeks. IMO, go for the hcg as per Swale's protocol. It too should make a difference in how you feel. It did for me. Good luck!

well i just got back from the endo........he tried to run out of the room b4 i could say HCG but i got him........... but did any1 ever hear of hcg stimulating cancer........ he said something really stupid like that and he wanted to talk to my endo first b4 giving it to me.......so my uro is going to get in touch with him tomorrow and my endo will write out the script for me..... and even if hcg would stimulate cancer in the testicle with the growth i don';t have it anymore so what does it matter.............

You can go to Swale's website, and on there is a link to the paper insert that comes in the hcg box. Check for any "contraindications."

There's nothing wrong with a doctor who is conservative and wants to check on areas he's not sure about before pursuing a course of action. I think that's a plus when it's your health that's in question. Same thing goes for a doctor who knows that a particular condition is way out of his league and refers you to a specialist. Better that than try and mess with something he doesn't understand. The only kind of doctors I get upset about are the ones who stare you in the face and say you don't need TRT when the lab results and your symptoms say you do.

never heard of it stimulating cancer either.

There has been a question about it, because many types of tumors produce hCG. I don't think there's any serious concern about it anymore.

no the tumors produce something completly different.... they produce
beta-hcg which is not the same thing. yea i guess u guys are right...maybe it is for the best but dam now i got to wait till next week to start it........ on another note 3 days on Avelox and i feel alot better...... im not coughing my brains out and my sore throat is gone........also feeling more energy............... and they said it was just allergies PFFFFFFFFFF... good thing i seen another doctor........

This is way off topic, but just curious, did they at any point prescribe a Z-pack - Zithromax? You've had that infection for a long time, haven't you?

yea i was on z-pack like 2 months ago ...... it did weaken what was ever in my system but it never really fully cured it.......... and yes since jan....... its hard to gain muscle mass and train correctly while being sick..........pisses me off........... wow i never noticed i needed to stop drinking milk and taking my multi while on z-pack...i knew i had to on this med but not zpack.... maybe that is why it didn't work to it's full potential........... cal, iron and zinc bind to it

I think hCG is hCG. Beta-hCG refers to the beta subunit of the hCG molecule. hCG assays and pregancy tests work by detecting the beta subunit. But then, maybe I misunderstand - my knowledge of this stuff is strictly that of an amateur.

Nope beta-hcg and hcg are 2 totally different things........ my uro already called him up and explained it.......... my endo is calling in my script for the hcg tomorrow................ hcg will not stimulate cancer in any way

BR;

I don't think I said that hCG causes cancer. Let me clarify. I think what I said was that, because certain tumors produce hCG, the concern has been raised that hCG can cause cancer. I think I also pointed out that there doesn't seem to be any evidence that the concern is valid. I'm about as sure as I can be that your uro is correct that hCG doesn't cause cancer. Here are a couple of links that describe the molecule in question:

http://www.rxlist.com/cgi/generic3/chorionic.htm

and

http://encyclopedia.laborlawtalk.com/Human_chorionic_gonadotropin

hCG has been in use as a fertility treatment for men and women for a long time now. If it caused cancer, I suspect we would know by now.

i never said it caused cancer......... my endo thought it would stimulate any cancer if it was there........... but beta hcg is a protien produced i believe when cancer is present........ hcg is something totally different and dosn't stimulate it at all.........

from reading that it seems they said the alpha and beta are in the placenta ....... and the alpha is what acts like lh,fsh and tsh......... i don't know if they use the beta too but alpha is what produces the effects......so it stimulates the thryroid..........hmmmmmmmmm would this help with weight loss?

I think somehow you need the beta also, otherwise, I would think you would see a non-selective stimulation of Leydig and Sertoli cells and thyroid. But maybe you do. Maybe that's what accounts for the other positive effects that hCG has besides bumping your T level.

Interesting article I read that states HCG actually prevents breast cancer.
