Sharp pain in forearms when Lifting

There's a few threads around discussing elbow pain, seems there are numerous potential issues with many guys having tried a range of strategies. My most recent pain through the elbows and into the forearm was related to some compression on the median nerve. Pain pretty much seemed to follow directly along route of the nerve. Also found that my biceps were real tight which was creating an imbalance in the tendons in the area

I when for a check up today Just to make sure and the doc said I got a strain on of the forearm. I need to rest that arm for 2-weeks and try again with less weight within 7-days. in addition to rest, I'll need lots of ice packs a day (4 to be exact) and Ibuprofen and I'll be ready to hit the gym hard again. Thank you again to everyone who provide me with your good advice.

Which side of the elbow? Medial side (golfer's elbow) often due to tight triceps and forearm flexors. Solution: massage medial/lateral tricep and stretch long head of tricep + forearm flexors.

Lateral elbow pain (tennis elbow) is usually due to weakness of the SUPINATOR muscle. Cure: stretch biceps, forearm extensors and strengthen the supinator by doing forearm external rotations.

Hope this helps.
